I've just started looking at the use of M1, M2, amd M5 at the same time to have a better understanding of the system, what i'd like to know is which of the time frames id it better to use as a point of entry?

Most of those entries are OK but some seem to be off by a couple of candles. In your case you have white and red so I will use those colors to explain,

First you do not need to worry about the recent swing for stops. When a red candle closes at or very near a rising 21SMA, you buy if the very next candle is white passes it by 2 pips, you do not wait for the candle to close, as soon as it passes you hit the trigger, stop loss is 2 pips below the red candle we just passed unless the current candle that we are buying on has a lower low, in which case SL is 2 pips below that.

I use a script for all my entries with hard 25pip stop loss and 50pip take profit, this gets me into the trade safe and no internet or connection faliure can screw me too bad. Once in the position I alter both SL and TP accordingly. With the M2 method SL is nearly always between 8-25pips

Like I said before, M2 gets me my first entry on most moves and on many occassions backup the M1 X50 for 2nd and 3rd entries if they happen. Sometimes they do no happen and 2nd and 3rd entries are signalled only by the M1 which is fine too, it just usually means a bigger SL because with the M1 my SL is the latest swing like you mentioned.

Those breakout indicators work however you set them up. After plenty of trial and error I have determined that the 4 breakout zones on my chart are of the highest probability for success.

The 2 with stars are by far the best, the other 2 are secondary

ALL +2 GMT
00-02 - Asian session kicks off
*08-10 - London opens
*14-16 - London back from lunch an US opens
19-21 - US back from lunch

The way the indicator works for me is to create a grey zone with those times, then it makes me 2 purple lines that extend for the rest of the day after the grey zone ends. Its a simple breakout method I have been using for some time now. You can zoom out on your chart and see how effective they can be. Used in conjuction with the M1 and M2 methods we have discussed here, its the perfect package. At least for me, everyone will see things their own way though.

TK...can you comment a bit more on M2 setups. What I'm seesing is that they can almost be traded alone. But when you do get one the M1 very often looks great.

just closed this trade...+46. Suffered thru the pullback....CCI in good downtrend so wasn't really very worried about it.

Also winners on EJ and AU. Total of +128...seven trades. I gotta get some sleep now. F4mnect's new setup is easy to read with these HA candles and stoch. Works great with a M2 floating on top. I like that M2 price action.

I don't trade London much...well this is the second time and the first I woke up early and it was a disaster. Stayed up tonight. But now I know why you guys trade London...everything moves much faster.

Rather than try and comment I'll just post examples, please do ask questions though. I'm not the best at explaining becasue I never know what others see and what they do not. I think its pretty simple though, SL is always small and precise, entries are also precise, 80% success rate on average but the losses are always so small it hardly matters

Here are my 2 trades for this morning. Grabbed 50pips total and I'm happy with that for this session

The way I filter out even further which ones to take is based on lookin for double tops, double bottoms, higher highs and higher lows, lower lows and lower highs, basic price action. There are no indicators that can ever beat what is visibly happening and none that will get you in to trades so early with confidence. At least thats my opinion

looking at the 3 indicators
trade only when SMA50 is crossed (tarde with the trend)
but you can see 2 shorts ans a long ....and a short just on the right beginning
i try to make a ALL of ALL of AllINONe lol

PS...also attaching your template....one trade for GJ....80 pip move....all other noise filtered. It did not fire on the short that I took. It works great. I took a few pips on this move but was watching something else.

For your setup to be valid, must it be on the next candle or can it be over so 2 or 3 candles.

Your indicators are great making it easy for beginners to really understand when to take a trade and when not to.

I've been using your template this week. I only trade a couple hours in the morning and a couple in the evening. So far I've had 10 out of 10 winners.

I hope to hear more about your entries, but when to take profit is the hardest part. Do you always, use a fixed take profit?
