very nice work TG
What you have observed is the basic reality of trading.
When have a rigid trading methodology we will no doubt miss trading opportunties that could have made us a profit, but their entry components fall outside the basic perimeters.
If we tweak the perimeters to include more entries then we widen our opportunities for sure. However, the good comes the bad which means that with a greater number of possible entries means more possible bad entries.
I am always looking for ways to identify smooth entries points.
at the very least any system has to deal with...
a. rules for an optimal entry
b. drawdown (I hate drawdown)
b. false signals
c. exit rules
to me the most important of these is optimal entry. the rest we can manage with good discipline.
