been reading through all the posts... is there one with all the indicators together, that are up to date?

Juan please take notice that we are trying to discuss the system here and cannot keep a focused discussion if we have to clutter the thread with questions/answers on the A.B.C's of forex and Metatrader.

I guess it would be helpfull to give some links for those who are having trouble setting up charts or other non-fxprime system questions.

Everything needed to download for starting this system are on the first post. Just forget every download you see further on.

Then you have sites like babypips dot com for general forex basics.

And i'm pretty sure if you type this question in google dot com you'll come by an answer, but i'll say it here, you have to put the indicators in the metatrader installed directory on experts/indicators. they can then be found on Custom Indicators. Templates are to be put on templates/

Please guys, search for the question before posting, a lot of valuable people are leaving this discussion just because we're continously being diverted by questions of this type.

Now i'll go back to lurk mode.

when i see that going up 15 pips in a minute and 2-3 minutes later 15 pips down i usually stay away from market. FXPrime works fine but will not work in this high volatility markets.

I really like this system and think that of all the ones I've looked at it has the most potential. So thanks to everyone for all the work done here.

Backtesting this system (not meta trader, but my own framework), I noticed I have better results when the slope over the last 4 hours is fairly flat, around 1 pip per 100 minutes. My win/loss and profit factor go up enough to consider automated trading of the system.

Those who are waiting on a better trending market to bank there 50 pips a trade trades. I don't know about you, but tonight was epic in my book. I have been hammering this range all night long. all night long, over and over and over. Great night, I'm not waiting on anything, I'll beat on this range 7 to 10 pips at a time and be in the market with open trades when she runs farther and mult times tonight she has ran further.

Sorry, precise question would be how to understand that it is not ranging market anymore and now you can enter following the rules?

You don't know when a market will begin ranging or end ranging. In a sense, you're trying to pick tops and bottoms in a trend which is something that nobody can do. You can filter out a few things with some longer period indicators but too long and you can miss the trend if trading on the 1min. The best way, is just to wait and let the market establish itself and visually interpret the price action as trending...

were Scalping, I tend to get many more good signals and good small trades in a ranging market. with a few more break evens because I am covering my ass more than in a trending market.

Juan,

I had some problems getting the system installed the first time, too. I put the system files in the correct paths (by the way, I found 2 "Template" folders in MT4 so I just placed my ".tpl" files in both Template folders to make sure I could see the templates in MT4), but I could not see all of the indicators. I found I had to remove (I deleted them and started over) all of the files from the specified paths in MT4 and then put them back in the specified paths. I restarted MT4, opened a chart and with that chart highlighted, I clicked on the "Templates" menu at the top right hand portion of the MT4 platform and selected the "Fftfiltr" template from the list. Then I could see the FX Prime System on my chart.

What stop loss figure (5, or 10 pips?) do you use when you're range trading taking 5 and 10 pips here and there?

Just 2 question.
1. with what kind of system? Still fxprime?
2. Night at what time zone? GMT, EST or other?

yep sometime there are good entries even if the CC170 isnt in red/gren zone. So i have mixed something Up with indicators i found around.
I will post it in hext thread.

It wasy just to show how i edited/elaborated the fxprime system (some other peaple did do this befor as well as added new idicators/filters.)

Anyway, perhaps i will post a new thread with what i found here in the next future.
