Hello, I am unfamiliar with MT4 coding , but can you help me figure out how I can setup something so when I set a trade my take profit order is made automatically? Any help will be much appreciated! THANK YOU!

that forumz good if your attached to the if/then orders of other non MT4 brokers < for example forex.com's platform. if thens are cool to safely let profits ride in steps or take profits in a reversal and ride the reversal.... i just need a preset takeprofit order to be sent with every oco order, i hate being requoted."you know how they guarantee order fills,,,,,,doesnt work if you close trade manually" .. i dont think we fully realize how amazing The mt4 trading platform realy is "YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN CODE , THUS FUNCTIONS and tweak any strategy to optimize your approach to the forex market, go figure... unless its all just a huge scam in the first place to steal from the greedy in a lawful manner.... . . . . . . . . . ........

Very simple.
With MT4 running, click the Navigator icon. It's the little folder & star icon. This opens the Navigator window which lists all your EAs, indicators, and scripts.
Scroll to the bottom to find the Scripts folder icon. You may have to click the "+" sign next to the icon to open it and view the scripts.
Right clicking the "modify" script file icon opens a menu from which you can choose several options including "Modify". Cick Modify (or press Enter) and the code for that script opens in a separate session of MetaEditor.
You can bypass all that if you wish by using an explorer window to navigate directly to the scripts directory in C
rogram Files... and opening the file you wish to edit by double clicking it.
Before you start hacking away at the code, I'd recommend you do a save as and make a copy of the script first.
