No additional functionality, but I have added better user feedback to the basket trade management routine. Don't bother re-downloading unless this is an issue for you - first post as usual.

Another for the basket traders, especially those of us trading the ES relative strength, 4 hour system. I have added a function that allows us to set a time-limit on the basket's existence; once the time-limit is exceeded, the ea will close the position. Download as usual, from the first post.

I have re-coded the part-close routine. Sending a part-close so soon after an updated stop loss would often cause the close to fail.

By the way do you have any simple script(s) like your Market Short/Long that can simply modify the SL/TP for all orders opened and or pending, regardless of currency?

I keep having problems with my script as the SL/TP points get placed way off where they should, even though I'm using the MarketInfo() request. A similar version of the code below works great for buy basket orders. But when I use the code version below with the OrderModify() functions it fails to place SL/TP properly. I have also been trying to get it to modify all trades and not just for the current chart.

Anyways, I was simply wondering if you had some sample scripts like the ones you posted in your first post, but that deal specifically with the OrderModify() functions. That would be very helpful and greatly appreciated...

Below is a sample of the SL/TP modify buy orders code if you have time to take a quick look at it:

I don't, but you are getting there yourself, Aad.

Something we all keep forgetting in the early stages of programming is that Bid and Ask refer to the Bid and Ask of the chart onto which the script is loaded. This means your stoplosstakeprofit coding will only work properly with the trades that belong to that chart.

Use MarketInfo to overcome this, just as you have with your spread coding, i.e.

else SLB=NormalizeDouble(MarketInfo(OrderSymbol(),MODE_ASK)*MarketInfo(OrderSymbol(),MODE_POINT),MarketInfo(OrderSymbol(),MODE_DIGITS));

The ea now has the function to calculate the take profit as a percentage of the balance, depending on the number of trades opened. Details in first post.

I just wanted to say thanks for your efforts here. It takes guys like you to keep this place going. I have been using swiss army EA for as long as I can remember but yours has some options I always wish I had. I will surely try it and let you know how it goes

Could anybody help me. Where could I find EA mentioned below?

1. Open trade for sell order 0.1 lot manually ( Say 1.7550 )
2. The ea open pending order for buystop 0.2 lots at pips that we set. ( eg: 20 pips. So ea open pending order for buystop at 1.7570 )
3. When the buystop at 1.7570 was hit, the ea then open pending order for sellstop 0.4 lots at 1.7550 )
4. This will continue to the maxtrades we set ( eg: maxtrades = 5 ). The ea will stop open pending orders after 1.60 lots ( eg: 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, 0.8, 1.60 )

By the way below is what I'm using OrderOpenPrice() and it seems to work fine for market orders but it does not work for the pending order part of the code (I haven't added the Spread functions yet). But I'm sure I'll figure it all out eventually...

Yeah me to, I was a very strong user of the Swiss Army [EA], but I really like many of the options Steve has added to his EA. Now if only it could have a trailing by candle option, I'd be jumping up and down literally...

Aad, that is because your script is only looking for open buy and sell trades; you have not told it to look for pending trades.

Highlight OP_BUY and press the F1 key to call up help. This will show you how to code for options such as OP_BUYSTOP.

Thanks Steve, though I did not phrase what I wrote in my last post properly. I only posted the Market order code and not the Pending order code that I already had. Silly me I made it sound like I thought the Market order code was also for the Pending order code, he he. Anyways it seems to all work flawlessly now so my multi script is coming together nicely (just a few more tweaks to the M/M and it's done) so that I can release it.

Oh by the way here's the complete modify order code part if anyone is curious. Steve perhaps you can include it into your example Scripts zip file for coders to learn from...

Thanks for all your efforts in creating the EA it is exactly what i was looking for.
I can get the EA to work on single charts to mange positions but i am having trouble with basket settings. I have read the pfd and when i read the screen everything is there that i am after but it doesn't seem to do anything. Today i wanted to close all positions after 10% gain and i went all the way to 30% and didn't close out any positions. This is obviously great today but would not have ben so good if i was on the other end of the scale.
Any thoughts?

Hello Steve,

i take a picture of my settings for your EA.
I have one Problem with the simple stop loss.
As you can see, i set the instant Trailing Stop to true and added 16 pips.

A stop loss is set by EA, but most time i never get 16 pips. I thought, the EA added the spread, but even than the SL is wrong.

The SL für GBP/USD changed from 1.4914 to 1.4912. Why?

Can you help me please.

Is there any way someone could add a simple stoploss function to this EA? I love most of the option in this, except I don’t use the hedging or basket functions… I just would really love to have the EA place a stoploss if one is not present.

If that is all you need, then set a stop loss when you take the trade.

Actually, I have found that using the instant trailing stop works just like using a stoploss… but the whole purpose of me wanting a stoploss added, is simply because I just wanted a system that can automatically manage my trades… its like… why have a trailing stop added… because it simplifies our trades… you know?
