4 Hour Chart

Does anyone know most suitable indicator for the 4 hour chart? Hay anyone back tested and come up with anything? Would really appreciate some honest opinions - have very little time myself as I only trade part-time and am looking for some longer term trading styles and techniques. Thanks!

To be honest I dont think anyone could help you to choose the most suitable indicator because no-one is like no-one..... you're better to find the answer by yourself.

But he can ask advice, and test the indicators on demo accounts to see which on suits him the best.

I've been using for that time frame, William's Percent Range, Bollinger Bands, and Fibonacci. So far it has worked fine, but as you were told before, there are no "beset" indicators. You have to find the ones that suit your trading style.

Maybe you should try using no indicators. Just as an advise.

Do you use them at the same time when you find the enter point? I ask because I’m not pretty sure they can agree at the same time.

Actually I used them separately, not all the times, sometimes I use them at the same time, you see right now I'm getting the hang of them I still do a lot of guess trading. They just guide my trades a bit better.

If that is the case what is the point of these trading sites and forums if there is not going to be a real exchange of information between "real" traders and beginners? Surly if there are so-called seasoned traders out there who have been through the trials of trading, then a few pointers to the right sort of setup is not going to be too difficult to share is it? I think I will start by looking at more books, probably the safer way rather than reading anything from the internet!

Btw, I only use 50 SMA on 4 hour and daily chart for support and resistance.

I have been back testing the 4 hour chart using bars and various moving averages. There is more to it than jst an average. I find that RSI and SS provide quite good signals using the average as a type of bias level rather than just above or below it and that the momentum indicators confirm the bias.

Anyhow, like I said I am still reading and researching but will let you all know how it develops when I start to invest my hard earned money in the Forex markets!

But for me, the 4 hour chart seems to be the most suitable due to my hours of work. Sometimes I am finishing a shift a 2am that would seem to be the Asian market and beginning again during the US market, so I hope the 4 hour chart will be better suited to my investing method in pip count and access.
