Ya I agree it is amazing and I have seen this before you have a winning system right in front of you, and you get a few bad trades (which is just part of trading) and you start looking for ways to improve it, and yet all you are doing is distroying a system that works and not focusing on the origional system. And with this market the way it is, it is harder to trade.

No system will win 100% of the time. But one thing I see in the chat room is people who are trying to trade this system in a ranging market.

The other thing I see are a number of newbies who ust want calls and haven't read the first posts on the forum.

So of course they get losing trades

Yes you are correct. Good Point
It Is Not The Exit That Concerns Me, As It Is The Re-Entry

As I brought up many times in this thread, 50 pip scalps crazy, this is not the norm, I don't know ranging, trending does not overly concern me, I just handle them a little differently. Ranging markets, in and outs over and over 5 to 10 pips at a time with stop brought up to break even much quicker than in a trending market. If it breaks threw 10 pips profit, I'll lock in 5 and just follow it closes moving stop up and locking in pips or if been very small moves, i'll take the 10 as soon as its hit

Good to see this thread becoming constructive again. In regards to exiting, is the above mentioned method the only way you all suggest exiting. I ask because I noticed that a couple times if I wait until the cci goes back under 0, I end up loosing quite a bit of pips. I sometimes even go negative depending on the spread. Common sense tells me that I should use my judgement and exit when the cci shows signs of weakening. Another part also tells me to exit when I think the wave has reached its highest point, usually estimated by fibs.

Wish I had a screen shot of what I mean but I saved the pic to my flash drive in s ms word doc and ran out the door this morning only to find that this prehistoric pc I am using at work cant open the latest version of word.

Anyway any input or advice would be appreciated.

Hi Vybz,
Your question is not a new one. Probably the best way to handle the exit is to look up each of f4mnect comments on this thread. His thoughts on MM and Trade Management are gold.
For myself, if a trade moves to profit and I have not been kicked out, then I will always move my stop to BE with a pip or two. Never let a profitable trade cost you money if you can help it.
Hope this bit helps.
Good trades.

True, that's the way I trade the system to, my target is +30pips within few quick trades and I'm done for the day. So that is +150pips/week => +600pips/month, and I think there is no need for more. As CD ones told:
''Only 12 pips/day can be enough''

Hello All,
<snip>
I am completely overjoyed with the results of the system. I am a bit dissapointed in the forum. What everyone needs to realize is the only way to become a good trader is time and patience. You all need to just take your time and watch this trade work. Low volatility markets are not ideal for this system, but if you look at the market you can see when it is basically ranging. If its stuck in an overnight range and commodities or stock indexes are just chopping around. Then you can be pretty sure the system may get stopped out....

I suppose we could discuss something productive like the following:[list][*]How do we tell if market is ranging or trending? What things should you be looking for in H4, H1, M30, M15 or M5 to help with this assessment and improve your chances of having a successful FXPrime trade?[*]What about each CCI and what to do when they reach 100, 50, 350?[*]What ways are there to measure the strength of the move and how far it might go rather than simply looking at fibs and can higher timeframes help with this?[*]What might your screen setup look like...

Really great post Canuck. Yes I'm one to use fxprime for 1m chart only and have alonside larger TF chart with moving averages which helps with thre bigger picture. Trying to trade with the 1H trend or 15M trend (plus5m always ofcourse) at the mo but early days. Keep up the good work.

Steve

Question about yellow time indicator> what's that for??? and ok to turn off?
