Took another short as price turned down from the 34ema (56.12)- closed in the spike down to 55.50....

I too use tweezers but am new to this. Could you pls hekp me and explain why 30 mins or so ago, there were vry long tweezers down on 5m chart and short ones up yet it continued down. What did I miss here of significance? Thanks

This is likely what I think and most of you already know it too -
Investors use GBP, EUR and other higher yielding currencies by borrowing Yen to buy equities, besides having advantage on interest rate difference they also can gain more by buying equities. Now those high yielding currencies interest rate is a lot lower, they need to pay back the difference to adjust the balances by selling the stocks, therefore equites market shall go down.
What we are seeing right now is an extreme volatility due to some speculators want to fortune in a muddy water, they drive the price up and down and up to lure some buyers thinking that the price is at bargain. Then the real verdict (real price value of the higher yielding currencies) set in, the sell off in the equities shall accelerate to a point where the real value of the currencies is at balance again. What we have seen now is no where near at balance, thus some adjustments must be done. Why I know that, it is because the verdict rate news just came out and was a surprise more than the market has priced in.

I don't see exactly where you mean -- if you want to circle it on a chart I can take a look. Would say 5m tweezers are much higher risk whereas on the hourly they can provide a good double top/bottom confirmation. On the 5m chart for the past 4 hours there have been some nice sets of doubles (and dojis) but if you have something like MACD running against you then they'll prove ineffectual and as ever they're best when near the top or bottom of a range and not somewhere in the middle.
