For all G/Y traders and eperts , how much u risk from your account in one G/Y trade ? 1% , 2% .... ? and how much far your stop loss 50 pips 200 pips ?

Dow has broken its rising TL so we may not see a move back north here. I wish I hadn't stopped watching this earlier otherwise I would have sold both it and Nikkei

i am trading since 2005 and i won several forex contests , but i rarely trade G/Y , i want to know experts at this pair how they manage their risk at this pair cuz 20 pips very tight stop and doesnt work ...

Expert or not, you should never risk more than 2%.

I'm a swing trader so my SL can be 100's of pips. Cant speak for scalping.

I dont want to scalp this pair , i am thinking to swing trade G/Y

Unless I sense a swing position opening I generally adhere to a 50pt stop which will usually give me enough room to sneak out and exit at b/e if I make a mistake upon entering.

OT: Dow down 2.5%, this could be a big 5% day (he says hopefully).

for me it depend on the time frame i trade for the 1 min chart 20 pip is good sl cause if it hit this sl then i was wrong t
so it depend on the time frame the big one need big sl

you got it..!! 20 pips is nothing like in this market.. i m not expert .... but my sl depend upon the signal i get.... usually 30-40 pips on 1min signal , 60-80 pips on 5/15 min, and so on because this beast can move 100-200 pips in 5-15 min w/o any reason and dont forget to calculate your lot size based on ur MM

Free tip: Where there is a sudden spike up or down thats the best time to counter trade. If you see a trade move 50-60 pip move up or down put in a counter trend trade. You will surely earn a few extra pips either way. This is for scalpers only. Once you have made the extra pips get back on the horse with the long term trend
