my 2 cents from my experiences

1) Biggest learning experiences
- There is always another trading opportunity so dont force a trade or feel bad when you miss a trade

2) never giveup learning

3) always get good sleep and get rested

4) dont rush into a trade without planning and reasoning

5) there is always a way...
FAILING TO PUT STOPS !!!

Price has retraced more than 2000pips in the last week.

The band aid that the banker and gov't places in public is only a fraction. This week you could see that this financial turmoil is now starting to visible leak in to other sectors such as auto! I believe we felt temors or a big one but there are going to be many after shocks.

The rest of the world is suffering and as a whole going to drag the financial situation lower in general. Those who were playing the drop on that last Thursday no just how dangerous this bitch can be. Be sure to place stops if you are going long even if you have a big big account. I know from experience. Loses from futile hedging and theives from fxcm stealing using outrageous swap interest rates on short. Total loses 7 figures and this is in Euro dollars!

Please all be careful and remember stops are you friend!

Now Ser... my biggest mistake was not putting limits on my trades, Stops yes... so they will range in the profit for sometimes a week and then reverse and hit the stops... Nothing worse that picking a winning and then flushing it and having to play the plumber for plugging the "crapper"~!

DO NOT USE FXCM especially their make shift MT4 package. Oh just don't get me started!

My biggest weakness is always having to be in on some play, even for small amounts of money... just stupid and eats away at the good plays.

Every time you do you get wiped out cause you can.

Plan each trade and close it at a predetermined time and value even if it is a loss.

STICK TO THE PLAN, prayer is for suckers in this game if you going to pray do it before the trading starts and after you finished.

No distractions and no deviations.

Sleep deprivation is not good.

Turn your alerts up and nap near the pc. (AND HAVE A SECOND FEED OR THE ONE WILL GO DOWN AND YOU WILL MISS THE MOVE.

LAST BUT MOST IMPORTANT TAKE YOUR PROFITS WHEN YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO NOT BEFORE OR AFTER UNLESS YOU USE A SLIDING STOP.

sorry for the big letters but i feel that without these things you are going to be toasted from time to time and then you start again. thats the difference between the 80-20.

80% give up before they master these rules that are posted all over the net.

follow those rules and you will do just fine the charts don't lie.

Me too with ODL, great company, good fills, few spikes, no SL hunting - cannot complain after 18 months with them.
