Emda, I believe divergence is one of the true hidden indicators that with proper anaylsis can give one a directional edge. I use simple stochastic for certain time frames. Just recently started applying RSI. With your experience, what time frame do you see divergence most often? And of course my curiosity is interested in how you determine an entry. Excellent thread, I look forward to all your divergence insights.

any time frame is good... I like M15.. having H4 trend in mind.
conservative entry is when as apfx says... a trendline is broken after the divergence.

That is a 'divergence' so its up to you whether you take it.

The divergence is the heads up - a signal that Price might change, its up to you to do other analysis to determine how valid it is.

You might look at factors such as Support/resistance, Fibs and Pivots points in conjuction with divergence to give you added confirmation that price 'Might' reverse and go in your direction.

Its also worth looking at where price has been coming from which should give you clues as to where it might go...

Im not sure if i understand it correct
go short with 10% of standard trade amount you trade, save another 90% for insurance if price move against you(at least im trading like that).
i trade on 15min charts: if i see this kind of setup i would go short for sure(its just beatiful setup).

I put the hourly in between them; it seems a multiple of 3-6 is best. I look for divergence on the next lower timeframe to trade the next higher timeframe when it is OB/OS.

I look at: 1m, 5m, 15m, 1h, 4h, daily, weekly, monthly: 5,3,4,4,6,5 is the multiples between these.

usdcad, 1d below time frames diverging down in a wedge into a weekly zone, a few rejections here since 2022, looking for some magic in my trend channels, monthly and weekly will have to respect here looks bearish, similar p/a to dxy 1h, cad across majors

usd mid-term observation, nzdusd audusd usdcad gbpusd all in d1 divergence, we have these candles holding up dxy usdchf usdjpy looking weak, eurusd only 1 not in divergence? d1 charts nzdusd audusd usdcad gbpusd looking similar, then dxy usdchf usdjpy looking similar, slightly differing in strength but quick glance similar,

charts pa suggest dxy usdchf usdjpy bull base under pressure, nzdusd audusd usdcad gbpusd want to turn, possible dxy re forms bull base, usdchf usdjpy follow sending nzdusd audusd cadusd gbpusd up, eurusd up to form then usd bull, usd bear shock could invalidate all divergences also possible

top of wedge line had to slightly re adjust to show rejections more accurately, o.g line incorrect mistake fixed, interesting pa in some cad crosses maybe some scalps

cadchf 1h 1-2-3 possibly 4 waves, near top of consolidation zone 4h, 15m 1-2-3rd forming, 4th? maybe it will push to 1h 4th with a sell candle, 15m could top it with a sell candle, possible in divergence, 15m 1h 4h charts

interesting chf crosses already going, cadchf not, dxy up giving cad strength seems, observing dxy to correlate some form for cadchf to produce, dxy up cad up, dxy down chf up? chf crosses going as well except chfjpy, battle of the bulls

quick gold chart of 1 of my favorites i call it the A- entry very powerful, backed with other strong things makes it almost unstoppable eg. correlations, chart patterns, havnt thrown ma's or fibs at it i dont really use those, if divergence breaks or price is to messy then i wont trade it

the last (A) on chart is a good example twin divergence with a sell close that diddnt extend far for entry,

interesting developments, dxy nzd aud down cad side ways, eur gbp jpy chf up technically, some kind of risk off, with euro being strongest, this might have filled the ? i had earlier why eur d1 was only 1 not in divergence, signs in the aud nzd cross chf jpy forming a mid term top suggested either chf jpy strength or aud nzd weakness a flow to jpy chf and eur? dxy down, is eur becoming a new safe haven

any fundis got another angle?

observing eurcad, more emphasis on higher time frame techs eur cross for signs, dxy techs, good zone here, could develop, slightly diverging here kind of weak, eurgbp diverging 1h below
