Ok, so lets assume your not trading full contracts but minis at 10k - that still means you need about 500k.

Sorry but the numbers don't add up for me - perhaps you could explain.

!!!!Congratulations!!!!.....all we have made more money "Hedging" and more money buying lower "Agressively" growing the account by 24%

Remeber when we panic thats when we make big mistakes....staying calm is good and applying hedges at the rite time will keep u in this business for as long as u want.

HE is one of the few traders who shows his trades. He puts it on the table and takes the flak from some when it is all wrong. HOWEVER when he is correct and hits the money where are all the critics. People like bassmouth (whom as post 50 times over 2+ years) are not around because they are thin skinned and cannot take the flak that they dish out.

Some scalp, some day trade and then there are some who trade the longest time frames and take drawdown on there side and laugh it off. They hedge and trade inside the long frame to try and keep draw down within reason. If time tells us anything it is that what has happened before with surely happen again. IF you do not believe 200 is possible in time then I laugh at you. If you trade this method without the stomache to take a massive drawdown (I am one who doesnt before you go questioning me) then you had better stop trading it or brace yourself for the prospect of being MC'd if your account cannot take the battering it will at times.

Continue to do what you do breeze. I know your skin is thick enough to handle the flak of these \"professional traders\". At the end of the day you have being true to your style and seen it through some very tough times, not just chopped and changed because things havent gone your way. Salute to you cobber and just do what you do best, make pips.

Man I havent traded live for a couple of weeks. My little account got MC'd when I shorted the aussie dollar at around 6850. I had enough room for it to move up to bout 72. It went to almost 7250 and I got the call. It was the right move, just not enough in the bank to withstand. The AUD then fell the next week to new lows and recently hit almost 6000 SO i would have been laughing if it werent for a few pips lol.

However I am trading a demo until I can re-fund my account. I dont trade actively at the moment, thats the joys of 2 rug rats (kids) and a full time life that leaves little time for myself and my platform.

It is good to see some good feedback on this thread as of late. ALL the negative people seem to have left the building and we are moving forward.

Good to hear from u cruze2005....If u have $150 is enough to start going live....u dont need a big account believe...I once turned $150 into $70,000 in three months time.....If i can do it and so du u....

1st look for brookers that offers 400/300 -1 leverage....then i can help you from there.

Im currently using FxSol and Oanda for forex....Saxo Bank for stocks.

just a small question: How hedging is diferrent from just closing a position?

If I open a buy position and a sell one, then I'm not gain anything no matter where the market go, right?

And if later I decide to close one of them (the green one) the other one is at lost with the same amount.

So what is the point?

yep and plus your already lose it's just like that
Buy 230.00 Price Dropped to 229.00 then you hedge and sell from 229.00
Price goes to 225.00 You've now 400 Pips green you cover with them the first position lose so now you already losing the same 100pips....
It's like the train who'll catch the end first you or the margin ....

Yes and No, Your trade in the earlier direction is at a loss, however the hedging covers this whilst the market is in the other direction. Hedging takes practise. You want to cover your margin whilst the market is in the other direction, and as time has proven the market tends to visit places over and over again. If you can successfully hedge, then you make money to cover your initially drawdown, until the markets heads back towards your entry and beyond. As mentioned hedging takes practise and dicipline. There are some benefits to what Breeze and others have done.

Take for example his current longs which have taken a hammering. He has hedged these, and also traded between for profit to maximise his margin. Without hedging and such chances are he'd be MC'd or close to it. Whilst his longs may be at a loss they are not finalised (a loss is only a loss if it has been closed as a loss) and as such he is enjoying the carry interest of the pair (there is like a 5% interest rate diff between the pairs, which means he makes interest on his longs whilst he holds them). The market with eventually come back to the 200 zone in time, it is the nature of the market but so long as those who hedge, do so successfully, they can stretch there margins to accommodate the drawdown periods.
