Sorry for the newb question, but what type of confirmation would you see with your system where you would know to close your long position and enter a short besides the bat formation?

well:

1) no classic bearish divergence.
2) no hidden bearish divergence.
3) no 5sma retracement expected

HOWEVER, 78.6 (at 150.10/20) retracement of the move down from today's high MIGHT be the best place for a hedge short (i'm not closing my longs just yet).

i'm showing bearish divergence on 1m and 5m right now. but they weren't present when i first posted about that bat.

bro please when you have enough time post a chart that shows the div you're talking about on 5m marking that div on both chart and oscillator so i can learn how to identify divs better, please.
I recommend you read something else as this sentence is now concluded.

price was 10 pips close enough to 78.6, so we did get that pullback. sometimes u have to enter fast because price doesn't always give u the luxury of an exact hit.

and that's how it's done

edit: during that pullback, if u guys look at the 1m chart, u'll see a STRONG bullish HD forming, that HD should hold price from going down any further, unless we stall for a bit for that divergence to break (disapear)

we still have a chance to touch 78.6 again and reverse from there (small-mid reversal).

the divergence on 1m was stronger than that on m5, but i'm also noting the hidden bullish divergence on 1m. price bounced from FE100, then continued to 78.6 fibo. GJ tends to satisfy all fib/FE levels and bounce from each accordingly.

OK, now i'm hedging short at 150.10 with a 30 pip SL.
that's a live example.

lol, yea.

we have letters that aren't present in the english language, therefore we substitute them with numbers, i do that because i'm faster in typing english than i am in arabic

this is how that sentence would look like in arabic

Hey I have a suggestion .. since the same questions are asked over & over by the noobs, why not make a thread called something like 'Auslanco Thread for Noobs"
People like lilmoe, malcomb, karmo, forexlion, peaches, and others in here who are the 'teachers' can post their methods, indicators, basic chart examples etc .. it would not be an interactive thread just a place to put all the most requested stuff in one place so when they ask a question in here, they can be referred to that thread.

If people think it is a good idea, I could work on it this weekend, get it started by copying/pasting some of the better explanations from this thread (crediting the authors!) to that one .. so people won't have to search through 9000 pages
