under 18

Hello, just wondering, can you open an account with a broker even if you are under 18? In other words, if there a age limit to trade forex (I'm in Canada if that changes anything)

And a side question, when people say a certain broker doesn't allow scalping, what do they mean? They don't allow you to withdraw your money o.0 ?

I don't believe any broker allows you to be under 18(or one I would ever want to put my money with), I think you can have your parents sign up for you or something(they generally want to see you have some kind of assets/income etc). I remember Ronald Raygun(that is his handle here), would know this I think he is only 18 as of now.

As for scalping. Scalping means opening and closing a trade very "fast". I have fast in quotes, b/c that means different things to different brokers. Ask the broker to help define on their terms what this means as it will vary.

Get your Passport First {you will need it}. Then apply for an account.

I would be interested to find out how this goes for you as I would like to open an account in my Son's name.
