How do most of you fund your accounts? Do you put the entire trading budget in your trading account? Or do you put a certain amount in the trading account, but trade as though the full amount is in the account?
So for example:
100,000USD - budget for trading
put 25,000USD in trading account
put 75,000USD in the bank for example @ 3.3%
however trade as though you have the full 100,000USD in your trading account.
so using the 2% MM idea use 100,000USD X .02 = 1,000USD maximum risk for each trade.
if you have a draw down on the account, then you can move the next 25,000USD after you evaluate why you had the draw down and determine if any adjustments/refinements can be made.
Anyone doing anything like this, or have other ideas?
