Hi Jedi,

I think people might be put off trading this pair because the spread is so large. IBFX is normally 8 pips and over the last few days it has been 12 pips.

But like you said "worth some observation".

To think that this puppy can go up 400 pips in less than 10 minutes makes the 12 pip spread nothing to speak of....and yes if you are on the wrong side of the trade then you would be down 400 pips (plus spread).

This activity is quite unusual obviously, so don't count it always being this way. The people worried about the spread being wide are the people who are trying to hit it and quit it, and I'd rather stay and play. It's consistent to pick up a solid 150-300 pip trade each week on this pair, and if you know how to do math, that adds up to a pretty lovely profit once you start extending that time-line. Combine that with a solid mover like GBP/JPY or GBP/USD and between three pairs it's consistent to start walking away with 500-1000pips a week from just a handful of trades.

Looking long about here, testing 20 SMA on daily...

The trend has been bullish for EURAUD, for whatever reason I am lookin at it long here at the 1.91 handle

CLosed longs, ~~+150 pip.. could have been better, but my TP was too high, missed short term top to exit, but glad I walked away with a daily goal complete.

Best part, I stayed away from EURUSD and AUDUSD (read, stayed away from USD) and made some dough.

Back to bed...

You actually didn't. You played relative strength of AUD and EUR against USD.

Thanks from me also. I have never really looked at this pair but after I did, I decided to play with the GBP/AUD (pretty similar) and the daily ranges have been just fab this last week. Have pocketed over 2,500 pips just selling the GBP.

I know this is the EUR/AUD thread but I couldn't find an active GBP/AUD thread. Give it a look - well worth it.

It's a pity I'm too scared to buy the GBP against AUD. I thought the GBP was shit but it looks like the AUD is even shittier. Just waiting for it to come down now that I've been pulled in on limit sells at various levels whilst I was having a nice sleep.
