Hi all, whilst shorts clearly look favourable over longs right now, we might stay in the current range and not break 176 - UJ closed with a bullish engulfing candle on my 4h chart 20 mins ago. Just a thought

I think, we may count current daily candle as confirmation for bearish shooting star yesterday.

gj is hand in hand with ym now .... 90% correlation ... YM may have formed double dbottom with bullish div rsi .... need that to be broken . But i agree as long as we stay under 176.60 GJ has a date with 175

176 to 178 has been range , and was last night as mentioned before i wnet to bed , short under 176 and go long above 177 ....

i thought gopher is GU...
anyway, just back from work...
was trying to wait for GJ to reach 175.5 and end up turn the winner into loser...
that's the problem of not lock in profit...
it happen numerous time through my trading for almost 1 year but i never learn from it...
now my motto is 2 trade per day, 30 pips per trade...
once 30 pips on hand i will lock the profit and let it run...
Any veteran can advise whether how can i improve my trading?

due to Phillip Nel 4H MACD, it shows us downtrend..

due to candlestick, it shows bearish engulfing

due to auslanco, it cross..

the 50% fibo is monthly fibo..

in few next minutes..

Trading in a trend gives me a tremendous edge because even if I'm wrong about a trade, I can always count on price coming back so I can always extend my SL. Hence I use higher leverage to maximize my profits. Now I just need to discipline myself to not give back my profits in times of crapshoot forex. But I do get really bored with nothing to do being a full time trader so I often scalp with smaller positions during this consolidation period. I think I just found the recipe for long term consistent profit in forex: trade with the trend and protect profits during consolidation.

hey malcolmb I have a fib expansion going pointing to 175.30 and then 173.50 and then 169.70 do you have this as well?
Price does what price wants , I just need to be prepared.

I am using retracements for downside targets ... 175.3 , 173
58 , and 169
