OK Dave, you know me, what rule did you break to blow up a 10,000 account. I bet your were trading more than a couple of pennies HMMMMMMMMMM. I know it takes a move of over 1000 points to blow up a 2000 account at .05 and that didnt happen today with the recommended currencies. So Dave What were you trying???

You did not offend me even slightly, I do find it offensive that you keep taking swipes at this system without paying attention to BOB and making him answer you over and over again about why the Back testing is not a proper indication of potential when he and others are forward testing live...I consider this closed and a waste of valuable thread space...If you want to take more pokes at me please feel free but via PM so we don't bother the others.

Thanks for ending the micro-feud.
Let's get back to business shall we? I started everything back up. Running the normal 100/40 with bastard on AWE, same pairs, going to see how things go for the day. I'm ready to take a hit if need be. I'm not using any of the built in protections, just letting things ride at 0.01 lots.

STEALTH EDIT- my earlier losses of $130 were tempered by the fact that I bought quite a bit of AAPL stock at $89 a share last week and it's now riding high again

I've been running the new system on the eight recommended pairs - after 12 hours of trading I'm up $18.94. I've been reading some of the above posts and must stress that you make sure you are trading MINI accounts. Some of you are talking about your accounts going up and down in the hundreds of dollars today and I just don't see how thats possible when you are trading pennies on mini lots (and I'll be the first to admit that when I started trading this method several months ago I was mistakenly trading dimes for a long while - and the profits were huge - until I lost most of it in one day - which is when I learned that .01 lots doesn't mean pennies as nanningbob has shouted many times over).

Here is a pic of the 100x125 for 4 days of trading. It handled comfortable several currencies that moved 4-500 points yesterday. This is also live trading not demo. You will probably not want to be in the USA market when it opens today. The stock market had another record day but in the opposite direction. We have nothing to reference to how this would affect the currency market, so sitting on the sidelines for the first couple of hours maybe a wise thing.

That .01 is not pennies that is dimes. YOu will get killed sooner or later doing that.

Yeah the EUR JPY is my biggest downer, currently at -$8.42 on the fourth level. I'm hoping for a reversal at R2

Because I wasnt going to be home for 10 hours I just went ahead and took it out. If I was staying home I would playthat bounce off of R2. That would be a very safe play.

Kept going with the 100/40 today (not the new one) and lost a few hundred due to the GBPJPY (and that's trading pennies my friend). Alas, I'm still up over 40% for the month.

I'll have to give the 100/125 a real chance this week.

I left the EA on for EUR JPY last night...
it went all 5 levels deep.
first sell was at 135.60.
last sell was at 140.60
It went up to 141 before coming back down.
But all in all, the EA made a profit of 300+ for EUR JPY.

It's not hard to lose a few hundred even with pennies when a currency goes 1000 pips against you after you're 8 levels deep and you are away from home and unable to kill it!

I had to call my wife and walk her through the steps! ha!

Good comment, but you do have time to deal with the problems trading this way. I have sometimes said OK I need out of this trade but take hours before making the final close. Because you are trading pennies you can wait to see if it will retrace first. Its not like trading 10 lots and every 10 pips can make you or break you.

The other side though is since the market has been going crazy that has become riskier to do as I found out the hard way with the EUR/AUD last week. It didnt give me that option. I will be very glad when the markets will get back to normal again.

i'm testing the 100/40 EA with mini 1:400 account starting with 0.1 (10cents)

But I used the same pips and take profit levels using the 10% of daily 10day ATR.

i'm still tryingto figure out what the best way to kill off trades

Don't feel bad, we all are. If anyone comes up with the 'Best' idea, I'll stick it in the EA

The problem with a death trade is that it's always easier to see AFTER the fact. I'm still looking at signals, news, ranging, etc... that will make the death trade easier to detect while it's happening.

I think once you do that, this thread will truely live up to it's name. As for the new system - my current balance is up $91.44 and am currently -$9.52 on open trades. The largest drawdown has been about $30 so far after two days. Keep in mind I've been trading the eight recommended pairs and have had them running continuously since the Monday gaps.
