i just took the long signal in my chart above for EUR/GBP today and it just hit TP1 for about 50 pips. Took profit on half the position and set my SL to breakeven.

The AO bar was red on my chart when the psar flipped. That is not in the rules was it red on your chart if so what broker I'm with FxDD

I entered a Buy @02:59 GMT on Eur/GBP @.7902 and hit +51 TP @ .7953, 11:13 GMT. FXDD, manual entry. Should have entered a TS as I have missed a bunch of plus pips. Still +51 is better than my shorter TFs this morning, mostly small losses. Thanks Ash

I'm also using FXDD.

You can still take a trade if the AO isn't compliant. You can see on my chart that AO was red when the PSAR dot switched to a long, but ash said it usually changes to green within the next few candles..and you can see that it did in fact change to green on the next candle making this a second strength trade.

Can anyone confirm that the TP1 for a second strength long trade is the candle before the signal candle's close minus it's low?? I'm getting the candle before the signal candle with a close of .7786 and a low of .7710 for a 76 pip TP1. Someone please confirm. Thanks!

I just checked the AshFx PDF on page1 and it appears to me that you have the TP1 correctly calculated according to the SS rules.

Thanks a lot for the help. Just wanted to be sure I'm using the system properly.

Although it didn't close as a signal, it still might turn out good. However, did you take the FS short prior to this one? Could have made a few pips there.

I just started using your system about a week ago and that signal was before I started using it.

I really love the system though and took my first SS trade using it last week on EUR/GBP and made some pips off of it... I entered a little late and my first TP was hit, but I was stopped out for a break even on the second half of my position.

Just wondering, how did you go about backtesting this system (how long, which pairs, win ratio, etc)?

Good to hear you made some pips Scott. I did around a years worth of backtesting on pretty much every pair FXDD had to offer. The win to loss ratio was easily over 65%. As for reward:risk ratio, as an average, you're definitely looking at least 1:1.

From what I see there looks like a lot of opportunity at today’s close for some plays AUD/NZD AUD/CAD NZD/USD CHF/JPY USD/JPY GBP/USD GBP/JPY EUR/JPY

Not sure about GBP/CHF
Anyone else confirm these possibilities with me

A lot of pairs flipped the PSAR Dot today. GBP/CHF looks like a second strength trade to me because the stochastics are trending up but above 50, and the AO is not green yet.

Also, does anyone know if there are two opportunites such as GBP/USD, EUR/USD, and USD/JPY what the rules are as to which ones to take? I recall reading something about not taking another trade when both pairs with signals are like XXX/USD.

Took long signals on EUR/USD and CHF/JPY. Other pairs with signals had stops that would have been too large for me.

I'm pretty sure some of these are second strength trades because the stochastics are above 50 which would set the stop loss at the most recent swing low. Also, my AUD/USD chart closed as a bear candle which invalidates that signal for me.

I think for GBP/CHF and AUD/CAD the swing low (red line) should be your stop and the white is your entry yesterday.

i think almost every single signal failed from yesterday. in fact if we had taken the opposite trades from what AshFX Daily told us we would have won almost every single trade.

but anyway before going into the trade the candle formation wasn't looking good for most of the pairs.

a bad day for the system, just another point proving that you cannot trade this system blindly, you need human intervention.

The long trades I took (EUR/USD and CHF/JPY) are still open. They both had stops around 340 pips and neither have hit the stops yet so you can't call them a failure yet. Keep in mind that these are both second strength trades (stochastics above 50) which is why I used the swing low for my stops.

I'm not feeling optimistic about them but I think its too early to call them failures as long as the proper stops are used.

How much equity is (or was) in your account? You should only be risking 3% max per trade. If you have $5000 in your account you should risk no more than $150 on each trade.
