I'm still a bit confused about what numbers are being evaluated before a trade is entered. For example, I have the 4hr USDCHF chart attached.

The values of the data window for the candle with the yellow arrow are USD = 0.0560 and CHF = 0.0575 and the magenta arrow are USD = 0.589 CHF = 0.0549. Now the indicator shows USD at +289.39 and CHF at -257.55. So what is the connection from the numbers in the data window to the numbers in the indicator? I can see the numbers in the data window show USD getting stronger (+29), CHF getting weaker (-26) and I can see the numbers in the indicator window showing USD strength and CHF weakness but the differences in the two sets of numbers don't make any sense to me. Which set of numbers are you basing your trades on???

Maybe I'm just being a little slow on the up take here so any help on understanding this would be appreciated.

*Note on my chart I have go short..this would actually be a long signal for USD strength.

easier is imposible. But there is one thing that i don´t know how to read it. I s about data window, please how we have to read that data?

What means strong or weak?

Even without read the data window my trade of today was 1000pips!!!!!

In your metatrader "Ver > Ventana De Datos".

Put the mouse in the candles and read the data

If Current 4H > Previous 4H currency=Strong
If Current 4H < Previous 4H currency=Weak

The indicator has nothing to do with the bars for a currency pair.
Each pair is checked using 2 MAs. Then the following formula is done for each currency.

if(USD)
arrNZD[i] += NZDUSD_Fast / NZDUSD_Slow - 1;

The result is what is plotted as the line for each currency.
The + and - values are the difference between the bar 1 line and the bar 2 line for the given currency.

It would be possible to also use the idea of bars being higher or lower to also indicate strength but right now it is the MAs relationship that determines strength.

It is a little more complex than the above post but I hope you get the idea.
Each pair will add a new value to the total and the resulting total should reflect the overall strength of a currency based on its releationship to other currencies.

I am working on a modification that uses the bar 1 and bar 2 for each pair to determine strength instead of the MAs. Maybe the difference from open to close to determine if people buying or selling a currency. When the total of all pairs is done the resulting number should show a large positive if mostly buying that currency and a large negative if mostly selling that currency.

I also plan to modify the indicator to show the most promising pairs to trade and buy or sell for each. A check will be made to make sure the pair exist for your broker.

I am also going to begin work on an EA.

I am preparing for vacation til end of the month but should be getting back to this early next week while my wife is attending her workshop in Oregon.
I will have the week free to work on this and other projects.

different data readings will get you into different trades , 3 times i have asked what ES would suggest ,regarding this , and got no answer.

why no response? makes you wonder!

Hi Fourx,

You might have asked 3 times, but no need to get so anxious. Market was nearly closed when you first asked your question. For all you know ES has probably taken off enjoying his winnings.

Any ways, if you think about it, there are so many brokers out there. They do not start their 4 hour candle at the same time. We could therefore be trading the 4hr time frame with different brokers and therefore have different trades. All of these trades therefore can still be winners.

I've been using 3 brokers for the readings, and although they are different, they are ONLY slightly different, not completely opposite as previously mentioned. What I mean is that if you got +,-,+,+,+,-,-,+ in one broker then you will get something like -,-,+,+,+,-,-,+ in the others. i.e. not much difference. The one which is different will be an undecided (flip/flop) currency anyway. By that, I mean it is only going up/down slightly and could change direction at any moment. This one difference is not going to kill your basket because your flip/flop is going to be helped out by the rest of your currencies which have a much stronger direction.

Just use the signals, they work regardless of broker. I've been increasing live balance by around 3% every time I do this and made about 15% in the last 12 hours of trading before the close. Thx ES Trader!!!

rubbish, the majority of the trades that ES had on his last post were against all of his rules on my platform. ie. the main currencies.

I'm just trying to get his take on this

so what you're saying is that the signals you got resulted in negative balance. Care to share broker and time the signal was taken. If it was opposite you should have lost pips, or am I missing something.
