The Nikkei is down 800 points. I like how the japanese don't screw around until the last hour of trading like the Americans do. They like their carnage at the opening bell.

it's alright man, it's only the chart, but they never give me a re-quote on a trade, pretty fast execution at most volatile markets

The Dow hadn't gotten a little ahead of the Nikkei in heading to the bottom, but the Nikkei has moved ahead. Now at 8359.

Just think, the Nikkei is starting from a high of 30,000, compared to the Dows 14,000. I can't imagine why anybody is still in the market in Japan after the last 13 years.

GU has broken through its Nov. 2005 low. I doubt there has ever been such a drop so large, so fast in GU.

I suspect a good bounce off this angle, have order attached to that blue line an will execute on the touch

23:41 USD/JPY: On The Back Foot Again On Wall Street Plunge Tokyo, October 10. The late Wall Street plunge and continuing turmoil on the credit markets looks to be weighing on USD/JPY once again. The pair had recovered to the 101.49 level in London and New York, marginally higher than the 101.35 high seen in late Asian trading. Granted, it had been see-sawing before it got back up to this level with the market continuing to show very high volatility. The Asia low yesterday was 98.90. USD/JPY proceeded to plunge from this 101.49 level back down into the 99-handle by the New York close. Early Asian trading this morning has seen the pair move lower still with the New York low of 99.50 effectively pierced and the market down to the 99.10 level. It currently trades 99.20/25, not far from the low.
Despite all the efforts shown by G7 central banks and governments, the credit market remains in turmoil. No one is lending to one another, at least on a term basis. The talk this morning is that Japanese banks have effectively stopped such loans to US and EZ counterparties. The funding situation on the corporate side also looks dire with GM likely to be downgraded and the CP market looking to be effectively shut down aside from whatever the Fed can fund.
Technically, USD/JPY is looking weak again and some players fear a break below the 98.60 spike low seen in London Wednesday. A break below 98.50-60, also lows seen at end-March/early April, would project a test of the 95.70-80 seen in the week of March 23. Topside, resistance looks to building ahead of 100.00 once again.
