DOC Strategy - Set and Forget!

Posting in Trading Journals is like posting in the house of ghosts, the thread is very quiet, I feel like talking to myself here, I'm totally bored.

There are some of us here - lurking quietly in the background.

I take a look every afternoon around this time to see your trade calls. Except for an off-day yesterday, you are doing remarkably well.

Pino we do read this thread.. we may not answer.. but eventually as we test out your system we may start to post results and outcomes etc.. It takes sometimes... Thanks for all your input...

Lol -- that's because you haven't posted anything but trades. What's there to comment on? Hey, nice, trade. What else do you want us to say? Post your method and you'll get a dialogue going and get your method improved.

how do you know that if it gets all the way up to .4680 that it will drop back down? if it is going to get up that high why not ride it up then back down and double the profit?

You might have a valid point here, but my system shows that prices will go to these certain levels (the buy and sell entry orders) and then will drop down to the target that I have placed in my pending orders for today, for example on GBP/USD my system has shown me that prices might reach 1.8450 then it might drop to 1.8320, so it asked me to place a sell entry order, as we can see prices was 1.8370 and it reached 1.8441 so it was very close to my entry level, but it didn't reached it yet, also you can see this in EUR/USD, my system asked me to sell @ 1.4680 while prices went up to from 1.4606 to 1.4676 so it was very close as well, to be more clear my system asked me to sell from higher level, so as you can see I didn't place market orders today like everyday, but I placed pending sell orders, my signal was to sell from higher levels, on the otherside no one could ever knows where prices will go exactly, so I'm following what my system was showing to me, I might be wrong, but I can't break the system, I might work on developing the system in such case.

If you did not set sl yesterday, the two losses would have become wins! is it possible to think about stopless trades, since the sl is usually very far away?

My main concern is the SL, that's what I'm working on now, I tried yesterday to lower my SL so both trades reached the SL and then both went to reach their target, so I learnt from my mistake, but this is not the final setup, on the otherside I know that my SL is usually very big, yesterday it wasn't coz I lowered it, so both trades hit their SL.

is there any way you can start showing me your system and how it work?

All I can say now, is that it is a combination between price action and some pivot points.

DOC Strategy is stopped for the time bring, as I'm doing a complete change in the main structure of this strategy, SL was my main concern.
As you can see that I used to enter at market price, but in the last days I changed this a little bit and I was trying to place entry orders, as in EUR/USD, I placed sell entry order @ 1.4680 with TP @ 1.4556, I've found that the high for this day was 1.4677 so I missed the entry by 3 pips, and the low was 1.4553, which was the exact price including spreads to close the trade, so as if I predicted the high and the low of this day for EUR/USD.
The same thing went with GBP/USD I placed a sell entry order @ 1.8450 with TP @ 1.4320, the prices first went to 1.8441 so I missed the entry by 9 pips then it dropped down to 1.8333 very close to my target, then it went up again to 1.8467 so sell entry order was triggered, then it dropped down again but still didn't reach it's target, so I almost predicted the high and the low of this day for GBP/USD.
So now I'm going to work on both the SL and predicting the high & low and the direction, it needs more effort and more testing, I'm doing back testing from 2001 to 2008, I hope it can bring good results, besides that I'll go also on forward testing on demo account, so I will stop posting the daily trades till I fix this strategy, I will start posting again when I go live after fixing it.

Seems hard to prredict all that (says i that not know anything about your strategy) and yes i am here watching you and this thread but i am silent waiting and watching just dont think no one is intrested becuae i know it is many here that are but like some one else sad before it is hard to comment on something that we now nothing or so little about you must understand that.
