Actually, it would be the CLOSE of 1 OCT, which the program will think is the second you start the program (since there is no close for 1 OCT yet).

Your welcome. Have fun, and hope you can learn this strategy better so you can share with us, and we can all make money.

Later. Carl

EASY!

Thank you, they are there... wow... I thought we were just putting the .exe in the experts file folder not the Expert/files.... now I feel silly.

Thanks much!

Does the time of day end the same time as IBFX servers? So Oct. 1st 2008 would have just started 46 or so minutes ago.

So far very nice implementing indicators into exe file but iam not sure about one thing:

You can see only one day history, but t101 said that you should have at least 2-3days data to achieve accurate trading. it would be nice to have option to see data for last 2days (or 3, one week) in one currency chart.

Thanks

Ok. You lost me. There really are no indicators, just sorting price changed based on a reference time.

The program is able to see back as far as your MT4 has data. Play with the program a while then prove to me that your statement is still true.

Post of latest T101 external to MT4 windows program.

Go back to my post from the T101 thread here: T101 Thread

Based on the 14 IBFX pairs designated by T101 here:http://www.forexfactory.com/showpost...3&postcount=51

1. The pairs are the 14 IBFX pairs designated by T101. You must have those available.
2. Put the indicator in the /indicators directory.
3. Start your Metatrader.
4. Attach indicator to a busy chart. It will create data files in your Metatrader /experts/files directory.
5. Copy the program (.exe) into the /experts/files directory.
6. Run it.
7. Select a reference date.
8. Check the Realtime box.
9. Continue to play. Watch, read more of this thread/T101 thread.
10. Report any problems and get updates to the program here.

***New version 10 as of 9/30/2008 - 1400 EST
-Filters anchor position changing by only logging when pips differ by more than 5 pips.

Hello Grodzilla!

Even I dont know exactly what I should do now with this Box - bc I am too new to this system - I am simply blown away what you have done her making
T101 easier for people like me. I must study the strat. from t101 but with this tool I think I will have a quicker understanding how to trade this.

Thank you very much and my respect

Thank you for sharing your stuff with everybody.
Can we shift the focus a little bit towards how to use the program to our advantage? When do we buy or sell all pairs and when and how do we trade only some of the pairs according to your program.

The basket bias is the longs profit (greens) + shorts profit (red). When you buy a basket you are buying all greens and reds. This is as per the T101 strategy. I don't know yet if there is a relevance to the bias indicators or not.

Hi Carl,

Just some thoughts on your great software.

The bias is the total of the + and - in the column, which obviously changes as time goes on. Here's a thought, which I'll explain bu using an example.

Lets say we switch on the program. At that time say the + are 50 and - are -75, so bias will say -25. The +50 represents gain on the buys if we had gone long, and the -25 represent loss on the red sells if we had sold.
In reality, therefore, if we had gone long the entire basket from the reference time to now, then we would have had a +50 from the greens and +25 from the reds, giving us a total gain of 75.

Hope that logic is understandable. In other words, from the reference point of whatever it might have been, we are now +75 long.

Therefore, would it not be more helpful to change the bias calculation so that it gives us the total points it adds up, thus +50 - -25, ie +75.

If the reference point was say 0, this means our long basket would be up in total +75.

2. An hour later, lets say the green are now +60 and the reds -35. the bias would measure a total of +95 under the scenario, and not show a reading of -25 as it would as calculated now.

3. If we see in the log, under present system, we would have started with -25, and still be -25, whereas in reality the bias is going long, moving from +75 to +90.

4. This method of calculating therefore takes account of actual movement of price, with increases of green and reduction of reds in total signifying long trend, and vice versa.

5. So from a reference point, we could measure every say 15 minutes what the movement is for greens and reds in total to give us a feel for total price action on the 14 currencies. I believe that is the logic behind the calculation of the profitcalc graphical indicator, and the crossing or otherwise of the red and white lines.

Hope the above makes sense.

Can we make this modification if you think this will help.

Let me know if there are any q's

Yes, yes. Let me read it a couple of times; digest it and swirl it around a little and make sure I understand it. I think I do. Easy to implement I think.

Netwise,
That is awesome!!!

Now if you could do me a favor. Write down how you do what you do. Day after day. Try to be consistent; profits or losses, be consistent with YOUR system. Then you should have a step by step method for consistently making money with this strategy. If you use my software for examples, great publish here. If you don't, that's fine, publish in the T101 thread, or your own thread (yuck). T101 has done a great job trying to explain his methodology to the masses. We need another perspective. Someone who can translate that into another different perspective. Someone who follows the methodology, but sees it an a different light.

I understand that some systems are private and nobody wants to share them because they believe that if everyone (group) knows about it it will reduce the effectiveness of the system. But I think this method has a certain degree of limited objectivity and broadness (buying/selling a basket), that the method could never be watered down by how many people know about it. Its not about how many rigid rules you have (an EA), its about making money. I don't really like trading EA's because the rigid rules can and will fail one day. The market will make sure of that. But a method has enough flexability to change with the market.

T101's strategy is a big step as far as methodology goes. I think that is why a lot of people have a hard time grasping it. There are no hard fast rules to follow. The T101 strategy shows you where the money is flowing. It ebbs and flows with the market. You really have to watch it to appreciate it.

Well, that's my rant for the day. I need to get busy.
Thanks guys.

Carl
