Can I undo in MT4?

Is there any way to undo an action using MT4, I was marking my lines and I accidently erased one and they all disappeared. What can I do? Or is there anything to do?

All I know is that you have the option to undo with control+z like in any other software.
But to undo what you have undo I’m not sure. Plus if you select your entire line and press delete, you will erase everything.
So I’m always careful to edit my lines and everything I do one at the time.

It would be very nice to be able to undo in MT4, imagine just losing 200 pips, all you have to do is UNDO, hahaha. That is real funny. CTRL+Z doesn’t work!

Double click on any object and then right click on it, you should have an option to 'undo delete'. Hope it works!

yeah, one time i deleted one fib, all of my objects are deleted at the same time. you have to go to object list and make sure you uncheck everything and only select the one you want to delete.

ctrl+z works

call up your broker and tell them you made a mistake. might work about 1/1000

I agree with all you, undo would be heaven, in the demo account even if you could undo, that wouldn’t be like the real world. If you are trading real money then you really can’t undo, unless you counter trade what you are losing, hoping you can break even at least.

Amamil,

Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace will undo object (as opposed to indicator) deletions in the reverse order they occurred.

Will that undo work in any platform? I am using a MT4 platform from tradeview and I don’t think it will allow undo. Are all platforms alike?

Terry, I just placed three horizontal lines, pressed Backspace 3 times to delete them, then Ctrl-Z 3 times, which restored them in the reverse order that they were deleted. I am using Alpari's version of MT4. I don't know about TradeView, but I would have thought that all versions of MT4, being developed originally by MetaQuotes, would have operated the same.
