Currenex Inc. is an application service provider. It is impossible for anyone to open a trading account directly with them. So yes I have a whitelabel account, but there really isn't an alternative. If your asking am I using FXCM Pro (which is NOT a legitimate prime broker), the answer is no.

I need to write up a detailed explination of the structure of currenex. Maybe later today...

I find it offensive that you're suggesting I made money in the contest by cheating. I did what I did in the contest by being a decent short term trader working on getting better. The only data I look at when I trade is Oanda's because that's my broker. Sometimes I look at Netdania too but it's for their fib retracement setup on the daily. But I want to reiterate, I definitely don't lag trade.

I also don't take kindly to your suggestion because lag trading can get your account banned. I don't think you meant to be offensive though.

Not suggesting at all, if that is your interpretation I am sorry. The word "cheating" didnt even enter my mind. I am just aware that some people do trade as I mentioned. I know a guy that claims to have used CMS and GFT to get quick feeds and scalped two FXCM accounts each for 10-15k profit before withdrawing the money and closing because they were harassing him.

You just have to understand the fascination. 500+ trades in such a short time can only occur in a couple ways. I suppose I should have assumed you were using a very small time frames or a grid system to rack them up.

Don did you mean to say the trend isn't your friend? The only pair I noticed follow its trend this week was EUR/JPY. I'm positioned for a move, but it hasn't happened yet. Just curious what you meant by that post.

Haha, demos are so unrealistic though. I made about 15% in my demo account this week. My real account I made 1%. Of course, I didnt put 1/3 of my entire account on 1 trade without a SL. We'll see what happens over the rest of the month. That no SL thing will catch up with me before this is over ... then I will do this:

well i just noticed that he had been in 1 trade all week just figured he cought a nice trend somewhere,since i only trade 3 different pairs i dont pay much attention to the rest (but i prob should)

I traded aud jpy also based on daily hidden divergence and some other stuff

Well it's all up to you, i manage my risk even on these demo trades otherwise i wouldn't trade the demo, what would be the idea? Just for fun?

It is just for fun, for myself anyway. That and I use demos for testing strategies that my crazy mind throws together or ones I find on forums such as FF. I would venture to say most dont trade demo accounts the way they do a real account. I have blown out about 5 demo accounts to date, simply because I like trading big $ amounts. I suppose you are right though, it does not make much sense to not use the experience as a positive one. Congrats on the success on your trades, 20% in 2 weeks is far superior to most. I must admit though, I do not yet have the stomach to put a lot of money into the market (more than 5%). If I can make good decsions for another 4-6 months I may start committing more. I am young, small and consistant growth and good decisions are what I need right now.

Are the demo's acting weird for anyone else? I noticed before a bunch of my trades closed auto and they didn't even have a TP or SL. Just now I tried to open a 30,000 unit trade and it opened 20,000 units lol. Slightly annoying.

Thanks dof for the contest I am looking forward to entering future contests whoever may start them. We have about 8 days left so the rest of us can fight for the place/show not the win spot.
