GBPUSD - Our forex trading positioning measure shows that the crowd
continues to sell the British Pound against the US dollar-giving a
contrarian signal to buy the GBPUSD. Indeed, the ratio of long to short
positions in the GBPUSD stands at -1.25 as nearly 56% of traders are
short. This is slightly below yesterday’s levels at -1.42 with 59%
short, but we actually see that short positions have actually gained 7.0
percent on the day and 30.7 percent on the week. All the while, orders
to buy the GBPUSD have actually fallen by 50.3 percent in the past seven
days. The SSI is a contrarian indicator and forecasts more GBPUSD gains.
Our technical forecast for the GBPUSD shows that our current bias is
bearish, but a break above 1.8612 would signal potential for further
rallies.

EURUSD - The forex trading crowd shows no clear forecast for the
Euro/US Dollar pair, with effectively neutral speculative positioning
showing little bias in the EURUSD. Though trading volume has remained
elevated, excessive intraday volatility means that many position traders
are currently out of the market and unwilling to sustain sharp price
swings. The ratio of long to short positions in the EURUSD stands at
1.04 as nearly 51% of traders are long, and traders have been flipping
from net-short to net-long and vice versa on a frequent basis. Both long
and short positions have fallen on the week, and our SSI effectively
signals a neutral bias on the EURUSD. This is consistent with our
technical forecasts for the EURUSD-markets seem willing to wait for
further clarification before forcing any major moves.

USDCAD - Forex traders continue buying the US dollar against the
Canadian dollar, and extreme positioning gives a contrarian forecast
that the USDCAD may continue to decline. Indeed, the ratio of long to
short positions in the USDCAD stands at 2.67 as nearly 73% of traders
are long. Long positions in the USDCAD are 15.1% higher than yesterday
and 10.6% stronger since last week. Short positions are 13.2% higher
than yesterday and 22.5% weaker since last week. The SSI is a contrarian
indicator and signals more USDCAD losses. Discuss the USDCAD and other

USDJPY - Forex positioning in the USDJPY signals that crowds are buying
the US dollar against the Japanese Yen-giving signal to go short the
USDJPY. The ratio of long to short positions in the USDJPY stands at
1.25 as nearly 56% of traders are long. Given that our SSI is a
contrarian indicator is typically contrarian in nature, this would
normally forecast that the USDJPY is likely to decline. In detail, long
positions are 27.3% higher than yesterday and 66.3% stronger since last
week. Short positions are 4.0% higher than yesterday and 4.5% weaker
since last week. Open interest is 15.8% stronger than yesterday and
11.8% above its monthly average. The SSI is a contrarian indicator and

ok personally i have mixed signals for gbp/jpy.. short term bearish, long term bullish but it is fading. the bailout proposal is so big it could have a big influence and push the price in one direction or another. when it's something this big the technicals can be swiftly changed by market euphoria or fear.
