DislikedMy MT4 platform fills with EURGBP M1 data from 1999 forward using the download button built into the history center. I delete all history from all time frames of the currency pair before I download. I always download a second time after a re-start so it will recalculate the data the second time. It seems to clean it a little. Then I login to an invalid account and never re-connect again until I decide to update my data. My tests are at 90% for EURGBP. I use MetaQuotes as the server.Ignored

If you can advise me on the settings you think may work, I can forward test on FXDD. BTW what time frame have you backtested?
Ignored
DislikedAs nvwine said the settings are in post 18. I run it at a 5 minute chart. I have backtested at both liteforex and interbank fx and get similar results at both.Ignored
DislikedOk, I'm set-up except the 'start' and 'end' inputs.
I will work on what they should be for FXDD if 19 an 4 works for IBFX.
I know offhand that at FXDD the 'new day' starts at 15:00 my time.
IBFX though I am not sure about as I don't run their demo.
If anyone knows the hours difference between FXDD and IBFX please let me know.
When I get it figured out I'll post the preset file that I'll be using to forward test.

DislikedOK, all set.
Testing will start today on this FXDD account using 22 and 7 for 'start' and 'end'.

DislikedHave you made a backtest with those settings? and what is the spread on EUR/GBP on fxdd. I have tested the EA with a 3 pips spread.
Edit: I just downloaded fxdd and did a backtest with those settings and it is profitable. What will your lot size be?Ignored

DislikedFXDD is 3 hrs ahead. So I think you go the other way ie 22 and 7.
Being 3hrs ahead, when IBFX says its 19:00 FXDD will say it is 22:00.Ignored
DislikedThis EA seems to have a much harder time making a profit during the last 16 months. It looks quite profitable during prior years. It may have been optimized for 2002-2006 to arrive at such a great result during those years. Here are a couple of tests.Ignored
DislikedJup just wanted to post the same.
If I had a time machine I'd travel to 1999 and put 10k on this EA and leave with serveral 100k. If you were to do the same in 2007 or 2008 you'd lose it all in no time.
Maybe someone optimized it just to get a nice backtest for potential costumers...Ignored
