I have been working today on a spreadsheet to analyse the possible trades on this pair for the history data I have.
I have the daily highs and lows, but can not use the spreadsheet to show what would happen by re-entering the trade again after a stop loss, trailing stops, moving stop to BE etc.
You can change the amount of pips for stop loss, profit take and the number where the tarde is entered. Line 2. When you do so the total will change.
Tell me what you think, maybe I have forgotten something, if not it doesn't look good.

Realy interesting ..if you guys change buy/sell for after 15 pips ..TP after 50 and SL after 30 looks good to my...sorry for english...so today hi/lo from 9.16., it is like buy 190.15 ..TP 190.50 and SL 189.85 ..was goooooood trade and spreadsheed looks gooood to ..it is works good if i understand that spreadsheed good ...in my way its like that ...buy/sell 15 pips after break hi/lo last day ...TP 50 pips from hi/lo and trade its on ( breaks those first 15 pips ).. and SL 30 pips from when trade start ..but maybe im wrong ..so please CONTACTIT cann you correct my ..thanks and nice pips to all of you guys...and sorry i change litle bit rules from MIO ..about that pips its only 35 pips TP..but that maybe work for same of you guys

Hello Contactit ,yes i know about that ...(The other point to remember is that your SL could still be hit before the your profit is realised), it is only a theory ,but if you cann explain to my your sheed so I know..about that 50 pips TP ..it is from start trade or from HI/LO last day ...and ST 30 pips from start trade or hi/lo......to please ..and thank you ...

Hello FF (me first post after anoonimusly lurking over a year)
I thought I would chime in here since I found this stratagy very interesting. Usually I don't pay much attention to the G/J. I would like to point out that I found an interesting correlation to the intended positions and daily PvPt's. Just some preliminary observations mind you, I plan to research the correlation more thourouly. I'm trying this out on a demo to see what happens. The Long position (a winner) was between the PP and R1 for today, infact I modified my position, Entry @ 192.37 after it was +32 to SL +1, then took half @ +33, the TP for the rest was set to the R1 @ 193.14. After going to +58 it retraced to +8, then went back up to the TP (to the pip) for +77, so the +50 should have hit for everyone and then some.
The Sell postition almost exactly stradled the S2 (this was what I noticed first actually) which in my limited understanding would have made it a very improbable succesful trade. I then looked at some of the days when folks got stopped out and notice that those positions were almost exactly straddling a S/R area. In other words these positions were counting on a break and run of the S/R to hit the TP.
Just an observation for now, I intend to keep looking at this. Wonder if anyone else here has noticed something similar?

You can change cells -
B2 this is the spread (dif between buy and sell price your broker is quoting you)
E2 this is the amount the previous days high/low has to be broken by before entering trade
G2 This is when to take profit. However this number is also based on yesterdays hi/lo. This means if it is set to 50, then todays hi/lo must have broken yesterdays hi/lo to close trade and take profit. In this scenario (G2 = 50) the profit will be 50 less E2 and less spread (B2).
I2 this is the S/L.
Scenario 1. B2=6 E2=15 G2=50 I2=31
Todays low would need to break yesterdays low by 15 to enter short trade.
Or todays high would have to break previous day hi by 15 to enter long trade.
Todays high/low would need to break yesterdays hi/lo by 50 (G2) to close the trade pofitably. The profit would be 50 (g2) less 15 (E2 enter trade figure) less b2 (spread)
If todays hi/lo breaks yesterdays hi/lo by 15 (E2) but not by 50 (G2) then the SL (I2 = 31) would be hit and you would lose 31 (I2) pips

From market close on Friday the 12th to market open for Monday the 15th there was a 257pip gap down that never got filled in the pre-monday hours. The numbers I came up with for the short would have been;
E: 187.37
SL: 188.08
TP: 186.76
This placed the position straddling the S1 and S2 midpoint, which as we now know showed to be a level of strong resistance. (not sure if my chart will be readable, my first time to do this so apologies)
Interestingly enough the low (assuming a day of 21:00 GMT to 20:59 GMT) was just a few pips below that entry @ 187.26 and happened nearly immediately after the entry would have been filled, so everyone got stopped out. Had the gap been added to the entry to make it 189.94 with 75pip SL and 50 pip TP then it would have easily been a winner with over 150 pips to spare.
My calculation for the 16th showed it to be a winner, however only by a few pips. The differences in quotes from various brokers and/or the specific end time of the previous day used for entry calculations could have been why folks said they got stopped out.
Just an observation for now, I intend to keep looking at this.
