Hi Someone.... You didn't mention which EA you are using on this account... One other thing.. If 1 normal lot=$10 and .1 lot=$1 then wouldn't .01 lot = 10 cents?

Interesting. However the report that you posted is hard to analyze.
In order to produce a good report you can try this:
1. Click Account History tab, right click there and select Save As Detailed report - it will produce 2 files: html and image;
[if you want to remove your name and acct no. from it, then do steps 2 and 3, otherwise skip it]
2. Open the report in a browser, right click the report and choose View Source or View Page Source (depending on your browser type);
3. It will open html source code of the report in text editor where you can search for your name and acct and delete these strings. Don't delete any surrounding symbols/characters; save; refresh the report in your browser to see the changes.
4. Upload both files to here. If it does not work, then zip it first...

If you see the the difference between entry price and exit price you will see that 1 pip is 1 cent. I was confused myself when I was demo trading then I asked the Interbank reps. But if you try the AlpariUK demo you will that 0.01 is 10 cents. Interbank it is 0.01=1 cent, 0.10= 10 cents and so on.

This is my EA not the one mentioned in this thread.

Yesterday I came home from work and I checked my account. It was over 1500 in the hole. I went oh ................., then I checked my take profit and it was 1800 to the good. WOW what a crazy day. Large gaps again. moves in the 3-500 range etc on a Monday. So I closed out at 300+ profit and changed everything to nickles. Enough .10 trading. If conditions are right it will wipe out a 3000 dollars account. So .05 it is. Liked the big profits though. Catch up later wont be in until almost midnight. I dont know if I was live I would be trading right now very big moves and very unpredictable. The EA can only cover so much and then out of range. Last Friday the GBP/USD was over 500 points and Monday almost 400. That is very unusual and not a normal market. I will see how the demos get through this.l

HAVE DELETED THE OLD RESULTS POST. THEY WERE NOT CLEAR SO REPOSTING MONDAY RESULTS TOO.

Here are the Live Account Results as promised.

These trades were taken as Microlots. Each pip value is 1 cent. You can calculated by the Profit/loss how many pips on GBP/USD in one day. Am not good in math but more than two - four hundred pips.

With Interbank 0.01 lot is 1 cent a pip, 0.10 lot is 10 cents and so on.

Thank you for your time. Will post Wednesday results tomorrow.

I appreciate you posting your results but I have no idea what it is you are doing or what your system is. I hope I have not missed anything but your results dont mean much without knowledge of the system ?? I mean your results look good but it doesnt teach me anything. Have I missed something here??

Hi everyone,
I would like to say a heart felt thank you to Bob, and all that have put an effort into this.
I have been learning trading for more than a year, trying to find a system that really worked, and a way to get my family out of it's situation. Reading this thread gave me hope after a lot of frustration.
I have been reading with immense interest for quite a while now, it's 5am and work will be difficult tomorrow.
I just wanted to ask Bob if you would kindly let me know if you posted a link to download your personally "tweaked" EA using MA crossings instead of STO? I would like to apply the EA and trade along with learning how to use it properly.

My most updated versions are found in post 866 and 867. The only difference is the amount of money they open up. For instance with IBFX the .01 will do penny trades. With companies that dont do penny trades it will open dime trades. The .10 on IBFX will do .10 per lot and other companies it may do .10 or 1.00 depending on the type of account you have. You need to demo the EAs to see how they work with other MT4 companies. Not all MT4 company programs are the same. Each dealer can tweak the program to fit their servers and trading philosophies.

Actually you sound a lot like me. About a year ago I just quit trading. I was tired of treading water. If you ran tight stops you had too many losses to make a profit. If you ran looser stops I could win more consistantly but then you would eat a big loss and be back where you were. I finally decided everything I had read advantaged two people. The people who sold information and the companies you traded with. They made money and the rest maybe sometimes you did, maybe sometimes you didnt. I decided to throw everything I had learned out the window and come up with what is 100% true in the trading market. These were my conclusions:

1. Even though after the fact the markets seem to trend, in reality, at any moment, at any time, the market can go in either direction. This can be caused by news, companies or governments depositing checks in the millions or billions, large dealers, banks, brokers, traders dumping billions of currency at one time without any notice. Large companies will hedge their sales in other currencies until they get paid so as not to lose money waiting for money to arrive. Black market sales are total unknown in currency trading. Off shore banks report to no one, etc. etc. Conclusion: no matter what indicator or fundamental news you have been following, these can never take into the account the sudden unknown. So at any point these two basics of traders or any combination of them will fail you. Its a crap shoot.

2. Price is never static, it is always changing even when the banks are closed. Every 1M 5M 15M 30M 1H 1D etc. is constantly moving. There is always a high, there is always a low on any time frame.

3. Price never just goes in one direction, it is always fluctuating up and down. Even when the worst news stories hits, there is always a retracement before it takes off again.

4. This was the final discovery and the most important breakthrough. No matter what happens, every currency has a limit to its movement in one day. If you can find that limit, you can trade within its range and it will not make any difference what any bank or broker or govt. or company does. Spikes, stop hunting, etc. will not affect the system.

The final conclusion I came up with was that if you could trade within a 3-400 point range, you could trade most currencies effectively and consistently and the only thing you had to be afraid of was the occasional rare move outside the range. This was better odds than any other system out there. IF YOU THOUGHT SMALL, INSTEAD OF BIG, IT COULD WORK!!!!

The steps are to test it, refine it, and then see if others could do the same. I am now in step three, can others do what I can or is there a hole in my thinking. I rely on the rest of you to prove or disprove my theories about forex trading. Good luck.

My money is back in my bank. Thank you IBFX for your help. My friend has cut me a check. I am ready to test my theories live. I will start with 3000 dollars and I will post my results. Good or bad.

My demo charts are outstanding this week. Unbelievable results.

You are right my results doesn't mean anything to you and others here at forexfactory.
I saw this thread a week ago "Is this my holy grail". I just wanted to share my system after posting my live results. As you know there are many threads on this site that are just talk no live results.
I have been following many threads, the system posted in the first post turns out to be a big loser in the end and the thread is no more.
But I wanted to do the opposite and post my live results first and then start a new thread with the system and its settings. The last thread that I was following was around 500 pages. Took me 2 months to understand and read the system. But at the end it was a big failure. Lot of traders lost their hard earned money. After that I wrote the EA that works no matter what are the circumstances. I trade 5 days a week. I don't care about the news, good or bad. All I do is make sure that I have electricity and internet connection. The account that I have shown in my result was started with balance of $500, 1 cent a pip. This is one of my account. I have two other accounts in which I trade 10 cents a pip and 50 cents a pip. Hundreds of pips on single currency in one day. Works on all currencies.
I have tested this system on 8 different brokers using 3 computers running 24/5 non stop.

I guess people here just want the system and backtest it and then loose all their money by going live. Nobody wants to see the live results for a while and then follow the system and make more money.

I will not post any more. I will take my system and my results to other website where trades would want to see the live results and then know about the system.

Bob you have a done a good job by creating your own system. Didn't try it but looks good. Good luck.

We are here building systems, so we are trying to be systematic, in other words logical. So in my opinion if you want to discuss/improve/test here your system, the logical order would be: 1. describe your trading idea (you will certainly get a feedback from us); 2. publish the adviser file (so people can test/optimize); 3. then we all will be sharing the results and we'll have something to discuss. Otherwise we just don't know how to respond. I believe this was the idea behind the Bob's last post (Bob correct me if I am wrong).

I absolutely appreciate your effort someonee1234, I am just trying to improve the flow of information. Thank you

I am sure there are lots of people on this forum who would be very interested in seeing your live results proving that you have a profitable EA (or manual system.)

If your system is not related to the system nanningbob is working on here then you should start a thread of your own to describe it and show everyone your live results there.

You could get more people interested in it that way.

Hi Everyone,

Firstly I'd just like to Thank Bob for sharing and developing his sytem. I've been following this thread for a short amount of time, 3 weeks or so, but I've tried to read every post in these 60 pages before I posted anything here.

I've been trying to demo the EA's developed by Bob but I've got an issue running one.
The EA in question is ''1D 1H 1W 100-40.ex4'' It seems to freeze my MT4 platform when I load it. My belief is that it maybe something connected with the recent MT4 Build 218 update. I've seen these updates have effects on EA's and indicators like this before.

Bob could you post the ''mq4'' source code file of the ''1D 1H 1W 100-40'' EA, so I can try to compile it on my platform, with the new Build to see if this helps. I've searched the thread but can only find the ''.ex4'' file. Any help would be appriecated, and thanks once again for sharing this with us
