Auslanco - GBP/JPY and GBP/USD (newstrade)

I am still bearish bias.. it is consolidating on its oversold .. once it's done ..here we go again .. 10 meters dive.

This thread is unbelievable .. only left for a few hours, already many pages behind .. looks like a lot of "jobless" personels here ..

I work out of my home for a private hedge fund company.. I only trade for short profits for the company everyday... I have time after to trade for myself... I target 20 to 30 pips at a time with the hedge funds with 200 std lots...In the future, I will have my own company...

Let see who will be laughing later...I don't live in a small house or apartment..

I don't need to bragg about my earnings for the past 3 years....

I trim my own Hedge fund.

Hey rgitt, ignore the bullies I've been following your analysis and appreciate it a lot.

I've been shorting every GY rally for about 2 weeks now (except for once the other day I went long) and so far, the pips are a'pilin' up

It's hard to get credit nowsday...

Don't despair, when the market is more volatile than usual you can either stay out until it settles a bit, or if you have itchy fingers, just double your stop loss from 75 to 150 pips, and lower your lot size to half your usual amount.

Why the Fed Won't Cut Rates

When it comes to the credit crunch, the more things stay the same, the more the Fed changes.

In other words, don’t expect the central bank to cut interest rates today or Tuesday at its regularly scheduled FMOC meeting following the Lehman Brothers-Merrill Lynch-AIG developments, even though that's the action it took in March when Bear Stearns was on the ropes.

The Fed has thrown a lot at the credit crunch since then, from aggressive rate cuts to creative new lending facilities, during which time it has also learned to adapt and improvise.

“The Fed has been separating credit facilities and interest rate reductions for sometime now,” says Robert Brusca, chief economist at Fact & Opinion Economics. “If interest rates were higher there might be some sense in lowering them, but they're not. I think the Fed wants to keep that powder dry."



In an interview on CNBC, PIMCO Co-CEO Mohamed El-Erian said the probability of a rate cut has grown in the past week but stopped short of saying he expected one. (Watch complete interview here.)

Economists and investment strategists, however, do expect the Fed to change its balance of risk assessment in the FOMC statement, saying it is more concerned about economic growth and financial system stress than the threat of inflation, its most recent focus.

“Risk to downside has increased,” says James Awad, managing director at Zephyr Capital. "They tilt risk to the downside, a tilt toward ease.”

That’s almost a given with the recent deterioration in the labor market and consumer spending as well as the diminishing threat of inflation thanks to the sharp decline in crude oil prices and other commodities.

Those downside risk may warrant future action, which is why market analysts say the Fed wants to keep some of its monetary ammunition, having slashed interest rates three and a quarter percentage points to 2 percent in the last 13 months.

What the FOMC does and says Tuesday will also likely reinforce both a change in the Fed’s role as well as a more broader policy change with the credit crunch.

“From a traditional standpoint it has added to liquidity … and taken steps to alleviate the crisis of confidence,” says Standard & Poor’s Chief Investment Strategist Sam Stovall. “It’s come to a point, where the Fed has said we're not going to bail out everybody.”
