The couple times I used it the trading would stop at that figure. So if it set the figure at 3000 trading would stop at 3000. I tried several settings for account protection but everyone fails at what i want: when profit X reached CLOSE ALL trades and restart all, not just stop trading. I thought SecureProfit does it, I was wrong.

No question about it. When the balance falls to the amount you want to protect the EA closes all trades - then starts over again from the beginning reopening trades again. It does not shut itself off.

It should not be too hard to change that in the code.

Do you think it's possible?

This chart shows days where the ATR is 400+.

If we could find some way to anticipate and avoid these days we would save ourselves lots of grief.

It is a matter of watching the news. The Japan minister was in trouble and resigned, along with bad economic news out of England, along with US govt. taking over Fannie Mae and Freddi Mac. Equals 2 out of 3 days 700+ pips on the GBP/JPY. I havedecided for my live account to quit trading this pair. It is too volatile right now.

Bad economic news out of Europe and England with Warren Buffett dropping all his shorts on the US dollar (27 Billion). Everyone else jumping on board and now we have 15-25% drops in the Eur and GBP. No indicator ever shows you big news events. Indicators are a waste when the market makes big moves. News always trumps indicators or MA crosses or EAs or ____________ fill in the blank. This is a fundamental of forex trading you must be willing to acknowledge or you get killed out there. My EA will cover most news stories but the real big market movers, no system can cover that if it ends up on the wrong side.

N0, no… today I lost 13% of my real account, because I want to win quickly and I lost.
I had great lack of discipline and I want bang my head on the wall, he he.

Well, this is my first post in Forexfactory and I want to thank nanningbob
by the excellent work with your EA.
I am using the EA tp50 +40 D1.8 in a demo account two days ago (8 to 10 sep)
and works beautifully. I will start using it in my real account. See the results in demo.

I am pleased with the 50/40 tests but I have found one flaw in it. Once you get above 8 or 9 levels, when it closes a trade it will be for a loss. In other words if you go 9 or 10 levels deep you are guaranteeing a losing trade. The reason is there are so many levels in the hole that the two winning trades are not enough to overcome the losses. You will need to change the reentry levels to 8 to prevent this problem. The EA functions well only within a 340 pip range. After that you could end up a losers even if get the retracement. I am trying a new combo of 60 45 to see if I have the same problem. However, for trading less than the 340 pip range it works very well. So if any trade gets 6 or 7 levels deep you need to look for the door out, to remain profitable.

Hi everyone.
This system is great but the original Ea is the way to go. I have looked at the code of the Ea and have come up with a very good Ea. I have read the thread and liked it. You guys are putting in lot of effort specially Nanningbob.

Next week I am going live with my Ea. No I am not here to make money by selling it. I am going to share it with everyone to try it. I personally have tried it on 8 demo accounts on 3 computers running 24/5. If anyone is interested I can post the demo trades that I did this past week.
