Back down to trend line again I would suspect and with no break probably a good place to go long as we are consitant now with higher lows and higher highs. That price is 188.15ish. A break there and down trend continues!!! just my short term analysis.

It was an educated guess .. 189 strong resistance form earlier ... go short and keep tight stop in case of break out ....it does seem a little simple doesn't it . It seemed that the candles were stalling close to the resistance level on a 5 min chart

we peaked and hit 189.20 , but only briefly .. this told me there were sellers right there. I went short as soon as price dropped under 189.

I also watch gbpusd and usdjpy on another monitor so i can tell what is going on there

targets for now are 50 pips a trade

Then you must be pretty lucky to be profitable use coin flipping strategy...

A lot of my trading also comes from having traders intuition. There is no holy grails in this game , no one indicator will work all the time

Knowing when to trade and when not to trade ( like now as I only trade the 1st 2.5 hours of asia before it all dies down)

seems to that you look for double tops and bottoms at the end of trends and here we don't have much trend at all right now. Just my studies for wiw...

once you know the pattern on a 30 min then you can play it on a 3min

So, Mal, you use the 30m to decide near term trend to scalp on the 3/5m ?

So you mean the 14 has to be well above the 33 and I would assume, both moving upwards, then when price crosses the 14 you go long. Take profit if it stalls on the 33 or if not ... just watch for some stalling out signs?
Opposite for short.

And do you use this on 100 tick, 1 minute and the 3 minute??

Actually it looks a bit like an ascending wedge on the 30 minute .. that is a bear sign.

I think for Steve it is all about the candlestick shapes.
