Nice method developing. Do you have a Tenkan-sen separate from Ichimoku Kinko? What settings for your Kijun-sen? Can you maybe just post a template? Thanks.

Here is the Tenkan-sen for you

Kijun-sen: 26
Tenkan-sen: 9
osma: 12,26,9

I trade only eur-usd and I recommend only eur-usd… but as I said earlier this system may give similar results on gbp-usd and usd-chf. If you want I can make SL level adjustable so you could easily change it while testing some other pairs

on example chart you do not see: heiken ashi, osma and tenkan-sen because I like to have as little tools on my chart as possible. Govinda_arrow.mq4 and Govinda_live.mq4 are checking all the conditions automatically so actually there is no need to have any tools on the charts beside Kijun-sen (trailing stop)
All tools and conditions are described in post #1

Drandycollings has already declared his help with automatic backtesting... Looks like he is trying to prepare some code - maybe even EA

Template is just a template.
I like to keep my template as clear as possible

what really matters are just 2 indicators:
govinda_live – entry signals
and kijun-sen – trailing stop

the other indicatoras are optional and not necessary for trading (including govinda_arrow)

template from post 14 is simply my way of keeping things simple. you may add watever you want to this template.

This system is stil under development and I am working literaly day and night on optimisation.

Right now since last few months it is doing quite good because market is moving nicely. But be aware that market is sometimes peaceful or ranging... Regards

Welcome after long brake During last three months I have been enjoying holidays and working on this formula to make it automated. The following results (backtest) have been generated by optimised EA that is based on the formula described in post no1 (slightly changed)

January 2008: -87 pips
February 2008: +447 pips
March: +203 pips
April: +734 pips
May: +229 pips
Jun:+528 pips
July: -285 pips
August: -275 pips

This formula is definitely designed for strongly trending market. (by trending market I mean trending in specific way during London session especially) In February 2008 Eur/usd broke 1.5 level which caused increase of volatility for next few months. After that happened there were much more trending days than sideways that's why this formula was doing so well.

I also back tested year 2007 with the same settings. Guess what was the result. There were only few winning months and it was definitely loosing year for that formula (with the same particular settings)

My conclusion:
If you have your own way of successful predicting which days are going to be trending and which not you can use this formula with great success. Otherwise be very careful.
