You know I have 8yrs and a rough estimate of 10,000 hrs studying this market.
I STILL READ EVERYTHING I CAN.
Ashes signals are one of the most simplistic I have come across , however you still have to qualify the trade.
Support and resistance and fibs give vital clues if a trade should be taken or not.
As IR has stated the weekly gives a good picture of what the currency may do.
If I trade 15min I use higher time frames and pivots to see what is happening.
As is always said trade with the trend.

It's not that I won't go back and read through all the wealth of information in this thread, its just that I would rather try out the system and see if it's for me first and know what to expect rather than reading through the entire thread and then deciding that this system isn't for me.

Read the PDF file in the first post about 5 times to start with. Then try it.

What you're saying is probably true. I haven't lived long enough to go through such experiences.

I agree that forex is a life-long learning experience. There's an old saying for this game I used to play:

"It takes a minute to learn, but a lifetime to master".

I see forex in the same light. It takes a relatively short time to learn the fundamentals of the market, a little longer to capitalize on those learned fundamentals, but it takes a lifetime to master it.

I'll make the blind assumption that ChuckB is considerably older than I am (working age or thereabouts) and does not have as much time left as I do to invest in forex. It brings to mind another question: "What do you do with a dead horse?"

Do you:

  1. Get a bigger whip
  2. Appoint a committee to ascertain the 'deadness' of the horse.
  3. Get off the horse

If ChuckB's goal is truly to make a career out of forex and it's taken him this long and yet he's seemingly gone nowhere profitability-wise, I think I'd get off this dead horse and invest my time elsewhere. Trading takes three things:

  1. Bucks
  2. Brains
  3. Balls

ChuckB seems to have the bucks and balls, but does he have the brains? Simply knowing the facts, text-book fundamentals and definitions is all good and well, but if you can't apply them, what use is it? I could read every textbook, forum, e-book, newsletter, vlog, newspaper, magazine, blog I want in an effort to become an actress (yes, ACTRESS). Does that mean I will achieve that goal? No. Does it make me stupid? No. Does it make me any worse than my neighbor? No. It simply means that I am not fit to be an actress. I may have more luck trying to become an actor, and that's what I'm suggesting for ChuckB.

Forex may not be cut out for him, what about commodities? Derivatives? Stock? Real Estate? Futures? There are scores of other secuirities to trade.

Ok, my rant is finished.

What do you mean by funny? I see you edited this post of yours from "I believe in totality" to "very funny"! Very vague to me!

I see a comment of ignorance from a young person who is blessed with intelligence but still lots to learn. Many medical students (RONALD)show alot more wisdom by hiding their ignorance.

My young trader mate, Chuckb is intellegent enough and mature enough to make his own trader decisions as to what market he prefers to trade, without suggestions from you. The sensitivity in your interpretation of his post shows through that you have missed the main point he was try to make in the first place.You assume he has no brains because you are a medical student. and think only medical student have the most brains. WRONG.There are many professions that need more intelligence than being a doctor. Settle down! and grow up! You assume he is not making money in the forex market. Maybe he is trying to make more money by learning new and innovative systems and add to his arsenal of trading tools. Maybe trying to trade a new timeframe due to change in lifestyle?Many reasons!!!

With your expression and language above which is a repeat of one of your other posts shows crudeness and lack of refinement. I find it off putting in a public forum like this. I certainly would not come to you for medical treatment!

The difference in age shows you know many things in theory but not in practice and experience and therefore lack of full understanding but keen to show off the little theory you have learnt. In my opinion, if had more wisdom, you would assume less and work on that inflated ego!

First of all, where did you get the idea I'm a medical student? I'm taking up Business finance. Get it right. Stop making assumptions about me or my character if you intend to challenge it.

Also note that I readily admit that the assumptions I made are blind ones. I know not much about ChuckB except that he has been studying Forex for 8 years with seemingly little success. I appreciate the effort that he has put in, but from my perspective it like trying to count all the grains of sand in the world. It's impossible. You could spend years making the effort to do that, but ultimately you'll fail.

After all is said and done, I'm quite content in knowing that I am among the 5% of traders who regularly make money in the FX market. You may or may not be a member of that club, and that is good and well. Call me arrogant, crude, whatever. You are entitled to your opinion on this forum as am I. I gave my opinion, you disagree with it and you gave yours, that's fine. If you start making this personal, then I'll have a problem with that.

If you want to continue this debate, let's take it off-forum. I don't want to continue to fill Ash's thread with this nonsense.

IMHO start at the beginning not at the end! You will know if this system is for you by starting at the beginning.Invest time and effort before making decisions. You have confirmed you are trying to take shortcuts and trying to decide on a system.

Congratulations on your 5% club! My intentions is to spend time trading and learning not being caught up with growing up issues of 18 years old. I did take offense with your comments about a mate and so I viewed my opinions.

I accept your apology Ronald, even though you did not explicitly say things against Chuckb your assumptions /tones /language suggested/said it all.

You assume again, I would google to find out about greenwich Capital. No interest to me to waste my time. I must admit I did read it and was confused . I am thorough on things I consider important to spend time on. I consider trading important not finding out your associations.

The term INTERN conveyed the message I was looking for. No reason to place further importance on one trader's details. Shows how different terms means different things in different countries.

How very quiet it is here....I wonder why?

Anyway, signal on the above but seeing pivotal S/R around 1.5250/1.5200 and as it's a SS trade a poor RR. Also a bullish candle on the 4 hour chart.

Therefore, I am going to pass on this one.

Anyone got any alternative thoughts?

I traded this one on demo and it is currently up over 40 pips. Thats not to say the trade will end up a winner following the exit rules but it is nice to know one can grab 10,20,30 or more pips on these trades.

I totally see the SR you are referring to. If it does break through to the downside it could be a sweet ride for the shorts.

I entered this trade short.

reasons: weekly trend down. I was waiting for the retracement which occured at 38.2% on the daily chart. Daily chart below 200MA. this confirms downtrend, along with rsi/%R corssover on the downside.

exits: I use fib expansions. Entered 2 lots with position size management according to my acocunt balance. First trade exit at FE 61.8% the second at FE 100%.

I consider this a ASHFX SS trade. Option exit according to ASHFX exit.

You know I wasn't going to respond to you, however others have so here it is.
Fair comment , 8yrs is a long time but I am very patient.
I looked a one of your postings where you said you lost over 2 trillion over 3yrs paper trading. That sounds like a lot of learning to me. So you started trading at 15?
As to your other comments, not welcome.
So you are in the 5% of traders who make money , how about some analysis on the Ash setups.

I have been reading this thread since the beginning and choose last week to start trading live after some time on paper. I picked a good week to start.

Forexmoments hasn't posted here in quite some time. Are you still trading this system??
