may i agree with you on this? tyro that i am.
why should i go long for 30/40/50 pips, when so many indicators point to a continued downtrend?would it not be less risky to wait for the retrace to 195.xx or 196.xx, then short?
i have been a voyeur here for the last few months, and i appreciate this thread immensely. some of the technical analysis is exemplary. won't mention monikers; u know who ye be. i have learned a lot, and it has helped me adopt a more disciplined approach to trading Forex.
for the last few days, and especially the last few hours, i see several posts indicating that the poster took a long position in a market which, in the eyes and mind of a neophyte, is apparently hell-bent for Hades. this leaves me somewhat befuddled.
this is my 1st post, so pls be gentle:

But still, you cannot bet against the trend with this beast. its so risky..
The market can stay irrational, longer than you can stay solvent.

Yep. in scalp mode on 1min - 5min Time Frame, with targets, from 15pips - 50/60pips, and ready to exit on reversal sign..
BTW:
1. we wasted move of 400pips in one session, mean usualy the next sessions are reversal or ranging.
2. We had a move from 215.86 down to 194.14 [2172 pips] with no significent retrace
3. The last 4-5H we are on same support on 3 major pairs:
GU on 1.80015
GY on 194.29
UY on 107.61
4. Low volume, USD/CAD players are on holiday today..

I am seeing 192,50 then 177, then maybe below 150, as this is the first wave of wave 5 down. but I am not gonna be supprised if we retrace from here, or 192.57 or 191.30 all those levels are on table..(so what I am doing? scalping from and to support lines..) Nice profits today

Its a "dead cat" bounce short 2 yards @ 194.72 (hedged)
