thats a valid trade bearpaw. take a look at the MACD, it came up and crossed zero line... I repeat the EA puts equal weight to the signals generated by both the MACD and the MAs, as long as one of them makes a signal and both indicators agree EA will enter a trade.

I don't know if its a profitable trade or not but it a valid one according to the rules.

I had that, i thought it was triggered by the news spike so i manually closed when it was at 0 pips, rather get nothing than lose on a possible retrace.

currently have 2 trades open USD/JPY and USD/CHF both currently losing, but had a GBP/USD winner earlier for 20 pips

running v1.1
I dont have those trades? I only have GBP/USD and EUR/GBP open right now. what timeframe are you using? and what broker?

The MinCrossDistance is the minimum required distance between the MAs before it is considered a valid cross... mine is set at 5. Im not sure why yours didn't open a trade.. can you please look at the experts tab and see if there are any error reports? and what TF are you using?

Hi all,

For some reason Pouria V 1-1 didn't trigger the order in GBP/USD that I think it should....
My settings are MACD filter =true and confirmedonEntry = true. MinCrossDistance=5.

Also last night it entered on EUR/JPY well below the cross at 158.21 and Pouria triggered at 157.90
Maybe I set something wrong...Anybody else with this scenario?

Hi Mikhail,

Since that post, it did open a trade (eventually). Presumably you are specifying no. of pips as the distance, so the MA's would need to be 1 pip apart in my case, and 5 in yours ?

I have checked the experts tab, no errors. Timeframe is M30

I have attached a screenshot for you, I hope that helps, I have placed the cursor over the trade entry candle.

All of my settings are default apart from Alerts, which I have set to false, MinCrossDifference = 1.0, and confirmedonentry=true.

To open the trade was right, but then prince move very fast against.

The only trade that the EA entered in for me was the GBP/USD S @ 9574.

Now, I screwed up last night as I was adjusting the parameters. I upped them to take 2 lots per trade and forgot to adjust the TP level. I had the TP level set at +50 when I wanted to have it permanently at +15.

The trade was entered by the EA and would have hit my TP on two different M30 candles. By the time I woke up I still could have manually closed it for +12 pips, yet I decided to keep it open to see if it would hit +15 again. Well, that was just before 9 am EST and that thing shot negative FAST! Right now it is open for a large loss but hasn't hit my SL of -50 (although it got within 4 pips of it at one point. Right now it's at -22.

Since this is a demo I'm going to let it ride out. *I'm also going to characterize this as a successful trade since the "system" according to the rules was successful, and it was my mistake that made it unsuccessful.

So, I can confidently say that the EA has initiated 7 trades. All successful* for +121 pips and my account (would have) has grown 15.2% now going into day 3.

hi, this might be a silly question but, in others EA, I always see a tab to set the TF. but in this one I cannot find it...is the TF pre-programmed as per original rules? how can I do to change the TF to try different settings?
sorry if it is too basic question, but i really couldn't solve...

I just saw your post in the other thread (just woke up 45 min ago). I haven't switched over yet but I will. I'm thinking of opening a seperate demo account for the new beta, as beta3 has been doing well so far.

just attach the EA to the timeframe you wish to test. the EA timeframe depends on the timeframe of the chart.

yup thats a good idea. Its good that you continue testing beta 3, for comparison purposes... its good that its profitable, I just hope it continues to be, can't argue with success right.

I'm hoping it continues to be profitable as well. The trade I'm in is back down to -15 (was at -7 a min ago). We'll see if my mistake desn't count against me.

These are results with Beta 3. From 8am Wednesday EST to 930am Thursday EST....

chfjpy----- sell----- 96.95 ------+15
eurchf------sell----1.6243------- (-22) (tried to account for spread)
gbpusd-----sell----1.9560-------(-20)
gbpusd-----sell----1.9577-------(-20)
eurgbp-----buy----.6707-------- +10

Net profit/loss = -7
Total for this week so far 31 pip profit.

I am trading all pairs that forexpert recommended except the CADJPY.

So, generally I have used 20 pip SL and Original TPs that Forexpert prescribed.

I do not have the same results as Sundevil...and I need to figure out if it is the SL issue or not.

Please let me know if any others find anything else to help in profitable trades.

I'm currently not using four of your currency pairs: audjpy, chfjpy, eurgbp and eurchf.

I'm not sure if it's a SL issue per se, as I was never in danger of hitting one until this last trade, which has now gone positive again BTW (we'll see if it hits my +15 TP).

I didn't watch for news reports either, which I should have.

Also, the only GBP/USD trades that the EA has entered for me were "BUY's" @ 9453 and 9477.

I wonder how your ea is different from mine? We are both using Beta 3. I have only changed the settings for the following items..

TP - as designated by originator
Lot size...
MM-false
microlots-true

That is all I have done to tweak it....what time frame do or did you have your gbpusd in? That might make a difference.

I was having trouble with audjpy and then forexpert told me to change the time frame to 1 hour and it has produced 2 positive trades since then.

My settings are the same as yours.

I just closed that "bad" trade for +5 pips.

updated totals are 7 trades, all positive, for +111 pips. My account has grown from $5,100 to $5,676, an increase of 11.3%.

I was close t o hitting my -50 SL (4 pips away), but luckily it came back. Had I not messed up the parameters it would have hit my +15 TP within 20 min after opening.

LOL! Had I waited 3 more min. it would have hit my +15 TP anyway. Just goes to show that I should allow the EA to do what it does. When I mess with it I only screw things up! DAMN!

The problem is that the EA icon shows in all timeframes, not just the one I attached to. does the EA work with the TF I am watching at any specific time?
so I understand if I want to try a different TF all I need to do is to switch the chart and the EA start working on the new one since it appears already attached. Am I correct?
