My PSAR switched on yesterday's bar. The AC had not changed to short yet and the Stoch had not crossed from a technical point of view.

As to whether these are valid trades and not if we plan to take them;
What do you think about the candle on the USDJPY? Is it in the wrong direction?
Also will the Stoch make the GBPCHF trade a SS trade?

It may be a bit early for me to look at the trades but I happen to be playing at the moment.

Yes i think it is the wrong direction as it is bullish..

I wont trade as it might be late already IMHO.The candle is too long and might be looking for a retracement.Also the trade doesn't satisfy the rules too.

Hi guys, would the USD/JPY signal still be considered a valid one if the candle closes long? Also, I don't know what you think, but hasn't the GBP/CHF taken a long nose-dive? wouldn't this mean a downward thrust may be exhausting?

Hi guys,

EUR/GBP seems a valid signal according to Ash's rules, but the signal candle has shot out way too high for one day; wouldn't this mean caution?

The candle is long (green) at the moment which is the problem. If it closes red then it would be a valid signal.

Even if it did close red I won't take it as it looks like it has broken through resistance at around 10840 and come back to test that level and got rejected so is now providing strong support.

The USDJPY trade would not be valid. In the PDF file Ash states for a short trade we need a bearish candle. As far as the other two trades I was discussing them from a technical point of view. I am usually wrong when I try to predict if a trend will continue. I agree with you that the GBPCHF has moved a long way.

usyen-stoch too high, 1day-4h-1h bullish;
gbchf-psar yesterday changed, moving too strong;
eurgb movement too much, possibly entry by 0.7937.

I will probably not act.

USDJPY is not a valid signal.

EURGBP is valid. My overall view is that it is above 200sma and if it breaks the flag it is in, the move will be huge. The size of the pole.

GBPCHF is not a valid signal, and is at the trendline. If it breaks and retraces, and another signal, it will be significant, It is below 200sma.

GBPCHF I mentioned is not a valid signal. How can I go long or short?

One needs to look at price action as a whole and look for the overall trend direction with S/R and when valid Ashfx signals present then enter the trade.

S/R: trendlines, S/R areas( Use weekly charts for daily charts and draw them ), fibonacci, pivots, 20,50,100,200sma/ema are all valid S/R .Whatever the individual trader feels comfortable !

Do your analysis of price action on the higher timeframe and enter on the lower timeframe. Even exit on a timeframe lower than theone you entered.

Many good exit strategies have been mentioned throughout the thread. A simple one is draw a trendline in the direction of the trade entered and exit when price breaks that trendline.

Who do you recommend, Ash. I use IGIndex myself but would prefer someone with tighter spreads (I like IGIndex's web based interface though!).

So we successed in filtering out bad trades yesterday as most of the pairs retraced today.

Also with i can see no signals today....

Yen's computer crashed, and in Mexico it could take awhile to get fixed. The burrow's can only move so fast.

I heard it was a five day ride on a burrow for Yen to make into town. Who knows when he will return.
