I would be willing to run at least one platform of forward tests and do backtesting. I can also run optimization but I run slow during the trading week.

i understand your point about variable lots, i have an EA as well with variable lots but the results are more promising than this

Thanks for your interest. Forward testing isn't an issue for me. I have dedicated servers at my disposal to use. And I dont want to optimize the bot either, it's well structured as it is (at least I think so).

I got an PM from a member on the forum and he is saying that poeple will decompile my bot and miss use it. This message is valid and concerning which has put me on a back foot about releasing the bot. I'm looking into how I can protect my code, does anyone know how I can do that? If I can't protect it, I'll think of dumbing down the bot, but then there isn't any point on releasing it... (this is what I'm debating right now).

I hope you guys can understand my concern.

I think you can *not* protect the code of an ex4 againts decompiling. The only way is to share their "signals" through a public account (user/pwd).

yes, that's come to my attention. I am thinking of encapsulating my core logic in a .dll file and give it a shot. but I know, a dll can be easily decompiled to. I'll see if there is anything I can do to protect my work.

Dear Saaedb,I think you waste your time. If your EA makes money there is no need to post here, just run it on real account and enjoy your life! I hope you'll make million next month. Wish you best luck!The reason to post here is to share your trading system or get advice from traders. I can also show you my wonderful results in the same manner, even better then yours if you wish but I do not see any reason to post it here cause I'm looking for investors and do not want to find a right way to "encapsulate" it so anyone can see the code. I think you're right except that part where one would make millions in a month . My reason for sharing it to a limit is to try and improve it. But I've decided its not worth it with the risk of it being hijacked. Before I run it on a real account, I'll want to test it on the demo for a little while. Coz, I really dont know how much to trust back test results.

Maybe you know, but... you can forward test for a period (1-2 months) and then backtest for the same period, then compare your forward test with your backtest. Anyway, markets conditions are always changing, so...
