Anyway, even if possible, it will repaint once you reload the chart (will only show that change when you follow live), because of the pessimistic view (consider loss in candles that reach both SL &TP values)... so what's the point? Don't you think it's better as it is?

I have been getting some strange candles appearing then disappearing etc.

On the ema 25 configurable version I cannot get the alerts to come up. I will go back to what I said a few posts back. Keep it simple. I think it has become far too complicated.

The concept of o/c above or below 25 or 50 ema, rsi < or > than 50 (or 40/60 if people prefer) and macd gives good entry signals. Leave the PT and SL to individual preference based on individual money management and possibly leave stochs out of it.

I am not even taking trades unless the signal coincides with the rsi crossing the trigger line. (I still use 50)
There are still heaps of trades to be taken.
The alert box is good but I cannot get it to work on the cofigurable version.
I think you people have done a tremendous job of programming all this stuff, but sometimes you have to get these things reaonable and then just trade them. There is no such thing as the holy grail and trying to find it can sometimes ruin a good simple system.

I am not being critical and I have by no means proved the system over a significant time, but since I started to demo and live trade it, it has been impressive. As an example, using EUR/JPY for the month of July and based on 2 lots with a SL of 30 and PT1 of 45, PT2 of 90, there was approximately 18 valid trades with 5 losers and a total profit of around 915 pips. (Could be the odd error in that as it was manual checking). Some trades hit 1 target only and others went past PT2 but I have counted them as closed at the target. Now, you could not trade all those unless you stayed up 24/7, but this is 1 currency and the criteria being left simple.
I will post my future trades.

But you haven't seen the pip counter working in the configurable version...
When you will, you'll be surprised

For example, for EURUSD, since 15/01, using ATR:
RSI 50/50 is better than 60/40;

By order from best to worst (when RSI's concerned, it's 50/50):
RSI+Stoch = 8331
Stoch = 8293
RSI+MACD+Stoch = 6907
MACD+Stoch = 6809
RSI+MACD = 4131
MACD = 3526
RSI = 3150

So as you can see, Stoch wins the first 4 places - it has to take a part of it.

I meant funny signals, not candles.
I am happy to try the stoch configs but I cannot get the alerts or pip counter working on the configurable version, so it is very hard to judge the system. I will try again.
I even had the situation where on one computer I got a signal for a currency and on the other it appeared on the next candle. Same settings on both set ups.
I have the configurable version loaded in custom indicators which I assume is correct. You will not believe this, I just stopped typing and tried the config. version one last time and the alert box came up. I will continue to play with it.

Just be aware that the pip counter isn't working on the version you have... I haven't released it, it's still under tests and waiting for (maybe) other changes.

I was hopping to get a solution to the Stoch's problem before I release it.

I spoke too soon, as soon as I try to input the stoch settings, the config version will not work for me, the computer seems like it is calculating but no show on the results. If I use any combination of the other settings, it works.
Just to clarify, the pip counter, is that not the totals that come up in the alert box eg win/lose ratio, profit starting such and such a date xxx pips.
If that is not working how do we know what the respective profit levels are for different settings. I am obviously missing something here.

I bet I know why, now that you tell me it's only when you use the Stoch!

You must have the #MTF_Stochastic file inside your Indicator's folder, and with the exact name it was posted!
The Ema_Indicator uses it to read the Stoch value... without it... it's useless!

The pip counter, when it was made, didn't give the right results... and until now I gave up on that. But yesterday, I finished it.

Have loaded that file, now it works but still no alert box.

I have been reading this thread for quite sometime now and my congratulations to both Corre and Tonirai for their tireless effort to come to an ideal indicator and I thought I might be able to contribute even a little in your ongoing discussion.
On the repainting issue of the MTF Stochastic, I have tested a substitute that will not repaint.

1. Replace the MTF Stochastic with the 1 hr stochastic (5,3,3) normal
2. RSI stays.

The indicator logic should be:

double ema = iMA(NULL, 0, 25,0, MODE_EMA,PRICE_CLOSE,i+1);
double rsi1 = iRSI(NULL,0,14,0,i+1);
double rsi2 = iRSI(NULL,0,14,0,i+2);
double stochm1 = iStochastic(NULL,0,5,3,3,MODE_SMA,0,MODE_MAIN, i+1); //Main1
double stochm2 = iStochastic(NULL,0,5,3,3,MODE_SMA,0,MODE_MAIN, i+2); //Main2
double stochs1 = iStochastic(NULL,0,5,3,3,MODE_SMA,0,MODE_SIGNAL, i+1); //Signal1
double stochs2 = iStochastic(NULL,0,5,3,3,MODE_SMA,0,MODE_SIGNAL, i+2); //Signal2

The Signal for the up indicator:
if (Close[i+1]>ema && Open[i+1]>ema && rsi1 > 50 && rsi2 > 50 && rsi1 > rsi2
&& stochm1 > stochm2 && stochm1 > stochs1)

The Signal for the down indicator:
if (Close[i+1]<ema && Open[i+1]<ema && rsi1 < 50 && rsi2 < 50 && rsi1 < rsi2
&& stochm1 < stochm2 && stochm1 < stochs1)

I made this logic and tested it and it is the same as the original you guys have but I do not have the repainting issue.

you put a second RSI in the count and leave Stochastic to H1 to avoid its repaints? is it correct :|

Conditions for the Long Trendsimilar or equal to your existing system only this doesnt repaint)
1. the stoch h4 will be removed and replace by h1 but his time you have to check its direction(stoch main) hence the (i+2) < (i+1) (Upward) prior to making the trade.
2. the stochmain (i+1) > Stochsignal (i+1)
3. the RSI(i+2) < RSI(i+1)
All condition to be met before a trade.

Condition for Short is the opposite.

The graphics you will see is the indicator i mentioned minus all the take profit that you have in your original indicator and it is similar to the indicator in questions.

It would be great if you would add/change your logic to our Indicator.
You can do it in this version attached, which counter now seems OK.

Only the win/lost issue isn't closed (for me, not important), because I coded it to count each TP as a trade, and each SL as 4 trades, and each SL_After_TP with the number of remaining trades when reached;
Corre prefers one arrow = one trade, but nobody else has given opinions.

If you do that, we can then count the sum of pips to see performance.

I haven't found a solution to the (rare) repainting issue, but I still trust higher stochastic... have to see that similar performance yours has

Ill do that Toni..FYI i have been trading this live a month after Effilang started this thread. And it has been profittable for me. My suggestions is for you to start demo trading this rather than spending all your time counting those pips (no offense). This system is highly profittable. I am using a very simple EA to do the trading for me since i slept a lot. LOL. Ill be back with the indi.

All I've been doing has been for the joy of learning, teaching, sharing, etc...
I've followed a lot of thread in this and other foruns for years, in silence, and now I feel very happy to be able to contribute with some of my knowledge... but always learning with more experimented minds

I have a mathematical mind, always have been good with numbers and graphs, so this is kind of stronger than me, I can't help always wanting to try to improve

But it's true, I've said it before:
Between my regular job, studying and improving the Indicator, and posting here... I have zero time to demo-trade it

The fact is I know that with higher TF stochastic this system is great, I wouldn't touch it anymore... but not being able to solve the repainting issue is killing me
Because I wanted it to have no more problems, so that Zen or someone could make/finish the EA of it.

If you find the patience to surf arround different configs in its external inputs (before changing it), you'll find interesting (statistical) things, for all general pairs, like:
- RSI 50/50 + Stoch is the best;
- Best MA_Method for the Stoch is almost always = 3 (LWMA);
- Best profit comes with ATR multiplier between 2 and 2.5...
