No kidding - I got out of a short trade earlier today with a slight profit but it looks like I'm going to give some of it back today with this short trade!

WOW, what a way to start the week. . . If I get out of this one I'm cutting my computer off for the rest of the week. . . I need to regroup to readjust my trading strategy!

This market is absurd or I'm just clueless about trading these days!

even the pros are confused...baby...i think the market needs... NEW BIG BAD news for major downturn...coz old news bad news is well...meh

thanks...I assumed that from your earlier post but just wanted to check. My TP is at 103.86, so at least I am thinking in the right direction. I tend to set my TP slightly above or below the resistance areas.

Doubling your account in 1 month = way overleveraged

Overleveraging and "Self-control" do not go together.

It is possible to double your account or more in a month, or a day, or an hour even!
You might even make a small fortune out of it. But sure enough, the market gets you eventually.

Just like the guy who risked all to short at 213 to make 5k into 500k for the "certain" collapse of g/j down to below 200s

Well, he's wiped out now. But My guess is he will come back, and refund the account, and try again..and again..and again..

He may make small fortunes in the process, which will only enhance this destructive behavioural pattern. New traders always remember how they made (or could have made) thousands if they had just short/longed that move BIG time..so next time they become convinced it's gonna happen, they load the boat to the tilt again..and blow up, again.

Even when they DO captre one of those wild moves, they make the mistake of thinking they can keep on doing it, which is what always kills them.

Either kills them, or makes them into real traders, by finally making them realise what they've been doing wrong

Still long G/Y, G/Swissie, E/Y etc etc here...not many changes for weeks now. Will this drp to below 200s again? I expect it to, yes. But not gonna try and guess the top of a multi-month retracement!

Very well said. This was me! I tend to believe I am finally a real trader but this is exactly why I am many..many..thousands in the hole over the past 2 years. My goal is to make it all up, but not today ;-)
