Relative Strength Index (RSI) Question!

please can anybody help me by teaching me to no when relative strenth index faile to swing with price movement. or how can i recognise a strong trend.or when can i recognise when relative strenth index makes a new high or low.

RSI is one of many indicators involved in trying to predict or interpret what the market is doing.

There are many other indicators out there to try and determine what the market is doing. Do not believe for a minute that the RSI is the end-all holy grail indicator.

You'll have to use many different types of indicators, verify one to another make sure all are in agreement.

RSI is not the holy grail. But when added to a set up, It can show the bias of the market. I personally use RSI as a filter to show direction of the market and try and only trade in the direction of the RSI. I made my RSI very visual with the RSI bars in back with the RSI signal lines on top. I use a setting of 14 and try and only trade with the direction the RSI is pointing. The Bars are a 7 color set up, 3 showing weakness and how much, 3 showing strength and how strong and white as a no market direction(50 line straddle)

you also need to remeber than the RSI doesnt show what the market is going to do, it only shows what the market did. you can use this data to make a guess as to what the RSI will do next, but you can never "predict" what the market is going to do using past data. you have to be psychic to do that. dont base a system on one indicator or just indicators in general.

please i will like to ask one more question,pls how can i get to recognise a strong trend and which indicators can i use to know that strong trend and how can i use those indicator to interpriete the trend.

Strong trend? Get the Probability meter by FerruFX.

I do not personally own it, but am considerably more convinced after seeing CTGUY's journal. I'll buy it sometime in August/September when I leave this internship and can trade my own account again.

The video he posted looks promising. I understand that it could've been handpicked, but that's the risk I take.

Do you have this and is it any good?
