Brent, did you take that trade? I managed to grab +35 pips off the hourly chart on usdjpy this morning.

Thanks for creating the chat. I also encourage the active members to join-in and see the activity there. Basically, when there is a CF setup, then alert everyone so that we all can mutually benefit - what a great way! Thanks to the creator George....I learnt a new thing yesterday in the chat about identifying a whipsaw with GPBJPY and identifying to stay away....this chat works....

The two light blue lines show my entry and exit. I rode this one as long as the MA's didn't cross back and the MACD stayed under the '0' line. Needless to say I am VERY happy today.

Why did you exit at the point that you exited?

You said you would stay in as long as the MA's didn't cross back and the MACD stayed under the '0' line. I didn't see either of those conditions happen at the point you exited.

Also, in the point you entered, all the MA's were not lined up in an angle. The 12 and 24 MA's were pointing more upwards (well, maybe pointing sideways). This isn't officially following the rules is it? Aren't all the MA's supposed to be pointing in an angle downwards to take a sell trade?

I'm not criticizing your trade, I'm just trying to be clear for my own purposes the proper way to enter a trade with the CF.

I've been reading some on the Cornflower system and am interested in giving it a try. Can anyone suggest updated template, EA or settings that have proved reliable. It would save me some learning curve.

Topgun, I don't think you're criticizing my trade If you look at my entry you'll see that I entered when price had already pulled back to the 24EMA and was resuming its downtrend. I got for two reasons...#1- price was changing direction on the lower timeframe and #2- I was tired and ready to call it a night even though it was after 2AM . Have you been having much success using this method? What is the method you normally use when trading?

Thanks for explaining your reasons for entry and exit. I had made the mention that I wasn't criticizing your trade because after I made the post, I realized it had the look of me questioning you of not following the system correctly, and of course that was not the case. There are times when we make a post that it comes across to the reader differently than we intended. Thanks for understanding.

As for the CF system, I've been following this system from the beginning when this thread started. Of the (demo) trades I've made, I've had good success. However, there have been 2 things that have been holding me back from really going full force and focusing totally on this top notch system.

1. Instead of picking a set way to trade the CF, I keep trying different ways to trade it. Such as: trying different time frames, entering on a pull back to the 12 ema, entering on a pullback to the 24 ema, entering on a pullback to the 62 ema, not waiting for a pullback but instead waiting for the MA's to angle/slope downwards or upwards, entering on a close of a candle, entering before the close of a candle, etc....

By doing all these things I am not getting any consistency with trading this system. It's also very time consuming. I need to choose a set way to trade and go with it!

2. The other thing that is slowing me down is that I keep looking at other systems and trying them out. It's basically me getting into the thinking trap of, "The grass is greener on the other side of the fence." This thinking has played a part in bogging me down.

I will say that having looked at many different trading systems, in my opinion, no system has yet to beat the CF system - when all things are considered. As I said, I'm always checking out other systems and when all is said and done, I continue to come back to the CF System. This system consistently performs well. Anyone can see this for themselves by doing backtests on it. There are other systems that do well but they are SO complicated! This is definitely not a problem with the CF system. The simplicity of the CF system is what sets it apart from most other systems. With it's consistent positive results, along with it's simplicity - and don't forget its relatively small stop losses (compared to many systems that require 50-100 pip or even larger stop losses)! - well, this system to me is hard for any other system to beat!

As I said, If I can get myself settled down, only focus on THIS system, and pick only ONE way to trade it, I'll probably suprise even myself of how well I can do with this!

It sounds like you are almost there. Very similar to my own journey. There's nothing wrong with looking at other systems and gleaning what you can from them. i.e, peaks and valleys, no brainer, DIBs, James 16.The important thing is you realise what you are doing wrong. One piece of advice.....pick your rules and stick to them. By that I mean enter on touches or closes. Don't chop and change. Accept you are not going to get every trdae, but that you do have an edge, whatever that is.

I have tested this system for about a month and I think,that it must be done some improvement. We need to think how to determine exactly from wich EMA to enter in every particular case and how not to enter into reversal movement. The system basically is very good and I want to say thank you to Felicia for this wonderfull system. Maiby, Felicia can kindly visit this thread and help us to master better the system?
Looks safe to me. My stops above 168.65. No TP at this stage. I'll see how it runs as its failed to get to 170 (so far).

hello all, just came across this thread. please dont make me read all 90 odd pages. just need one question answered and i will truly apreiciate it. Question, has the system changed from the first post? thats all i need to know. and if so what is the updated rules. oops sory, that is 2 questions

I'm 2 years behind nevertheless I have start trading on demo and it has given me far better result than other system i have tried with so many indicators. I need to calrify as I am still trying to adapt to this system. On the hourly chart during the retracement or pull back to 12 or 24EMAs, when is the right time to enter as sometimes price pass the 12 ema before bounces at 12 ema. Eventhough at the end of the trade profit is made but trade will go to negative 10 to 20 pips before it swing back to the trend. I hope not minimise the loose pip but maximaise the gain. May all the pip be with all of us.

someone compiled a list of lever 70 rules and 5 minute entry and other useful information all in to one. i think it was in a pdf file or word. i had it once on my desk top but kids acidently deleted it. aahhhhhh
