since the other competition has started, folks can always join this one:


i've open a public competition on OANDA to see who amongst us is the best trader (at least for 3 month period).

You may want to have a contest to determine who among the contest is the most consistent, not who among the forum is the most consistant. To determine that, all members of this forum would have to be in the contest, and that is not going to happen.

The most consistent trader may be someone that does not have time to be in a contest. Let's say that you have 10 people that are in your contest and obviously one will win, you should not automatically assume that this person is the best trader on this forum nor as you put it, as the boss.

hey here is an idea why not charge a small fee say $5 that only active members can join,winner take all. just think if all active members participated
that would be around $60,000 . that would could give someone a good start on a live account. and for the full timers be a nice bonus for a months work.

One contest is enough for me.
Anyway, my next contest idea was to challenge all the systems in the systems forum to chose a person to trade that system.
I am curious, but my guess is that 90% of those systems don't work the way those sytems are presented there.
Maybe i'll do the challenge, or maybe somebody else will do it.

That is an excellent idea.

I think the problem would be getting someone to commit to following the rules as laid out in their system. Some systems don't take trades all that often, so I guess the contest might have to be months long to really be valid.

Still, I'd love to see some of these systems go head to head.

the competition should last 3 months, that way the better trader will be known for sure, not the ones aiming for 500% then blow it by next week

I'm in.
I'll be using high leverage, something I never do in real trading, so don't laugh if I endup on the bottom of the list in few days.

You will be competing only with traders in the contest, not traders on the forum. I think that it would be a mistake for you to enter your contest with a few traders and then claim the winner... the best trader of FF forum.

Good idea, $5 per active member and trading to last for 3 mths. This makes the time in the competition worthwhile so that live accounts don't suffer. Just my 2 cents.
You can count me in this one also. I trade the day charts so I have time to enter another tournament.
