I still like IBFX but I hope they will change their mind on this. If you do not like the new account history policy please notify them. Maybe if a number of their live account holders register their dissatisfaction they will amend the policy. Please Note the policy has only been enacted on some accounts at this point. I believe older accounts. The history has only been removed from platform access on my accounts that are more than 2 years old. Those accounts will not show me any trades that closed before February 1st., 2008 as of the date of this post.
You can no long print out 12 months of account history as a single report. You have to print out last year one month at a time on the web.
They only show the last 4 completed months on the platform. The rest was removed. They told us to use the Web Account - Transaction History feature instead.
The following is from their email:
It is inconvenient but I can live with that.
I went to the web site and entered the dates I wanted. I got the following error message:
They now want us to print out a year 1 month at a time. You then would have to stitch it together. It is not hard but takes time. I think this policy is unacceptable. I review a running 6 month and 12 month report every couple of weeks for several accounts.
I contacted them to see if I misread the rules. Here is what I was told in the last part of the chat. I removed the client service person's number because I forgot to tell him I was going to post his response.
I'll feel a little stupid for posting this if I find out my account is one of a handful covered by the policy.

QuoteDisliked5. View your Transaction History
Upon completion of the above steps, you will be able to view your Transaction History. After logging in:
- Under the 'Trading Account Related' section, click 'My Trade Accounts' Select the 'View Transaction History' option
- Enter a Starting Date and an Ending Date, then hit 'Search' (Note: history newer than 4 months will be in the trading platform but everything before that will be replaced with a single entry, with the comment "Balance Forward")
6. Exporting your Account History
- You can export your Trading Account History in other Formats, for an example Excel.
- Click on 'Export Results'
- Select the format of your choice
- And then click 'Ok'

QuoteDislikedClient Services: So you are looking at account history on your web account
you: yes, I would rather be looking at it on my platform but it is not there any more
Client Services: to free up performance on the platform some of the history was moved to the web
you: Ok, but how do I print out my weekly report from 08/12/07 to the current date?
Client Services: So you have selected the date of 08/12/07
you: yes, I publish reports in a pdf file every week or two for posting on forums. I start with 08/12/07 on one account
Client Services: For the starting date and the end date as today
you: yes
Client Services: Did you export as a CSV or an HTML?
you: probably html
you: I might like to view more than 31 days as well
Client Services: You should be able to set the dates you are looking for
you: I get the following message
you: Please enter valid dates for the starting and ending dates. These cannot be more than 31 days apart or before 1/1/2004.
Client Services: Now you will have to do it as a month at a time not as one giant report
Client Services: So enter from 8/12/2007 to 8/31/2007
you: I know how to do that
you: I can't believe that there is no way to print out a whole year or part of a year
Client Services: I Will pass the suggestion along
you: thank you
Client Services: You're welcome. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact us anytime. We are here for you 24 hours a day, Sunday afternoon through Friday afternoon.
you: Thanks for your time
