DislikedActually, as I think about it, it's probably better if you can buy lower or sell high to have a TP based on the price you actually bought or sold at. This way you might have a better chance with the second trade riding the wave since the update to break even would be lower for a long and higher for a short. This is not to say that I would intentionally try to get in lower or higher but if that happens to be the case then so be it. I will keep the TP based on where I actually bought or sold.
Example (make believe trade below):
The AshFX system determines a 50 pip TP based on the signals/bar values.
It also suggests you buy at say 100.25 (100.75 would be TP)
However, due to conditions (maybe between close on Friday and open on Sunday or something else) you actually buy at 100.15. In this case the EA would set the TP to 100.65 (still 50 pips) also making the update to break even on the 2nd position lower (100.15 rather than 100.25).

DislikedFirstly, thank you very much. Even though personally I don't like to use EA's, I really appreciate your efforts, I'm sure others would like to test it.
Secondly, concerning the question you raised, then to be honest I haven't officially addressed that for AshFX Daily. The system just presumes that the opening price of the candle will always be equal to the close of the previous bar. As to what one should do - this is something discretionary and up to the trader.
The way you have described it in the imaginary example above would be fine.Ignored
DislikedAsh, I have tried you system out paper trading and it has delivered 90% of the time and I can have a life while earning money. Thank you.Ignored
DislikedAlso, thanks to all the other contributers on this thread. Absolutely fantastic community which I am glad to be joining.Ignored
DislikedOk guys, tonight's update for potential entries.
Looking at EUR/JPY, it seems to be ranging too much for my liking, and so I will not be entering that.
AUD/USD - Although I am already in this (due to me testing an IBFX signal), now's a good time to enter into it if you haven't already done so. Stochs are pointing down and are just about crossing. I personally am not re-entering.
USD/JPY & CAD/JPY. These are both SS Longs, and I will be buying these in around 10 minutes time. Stop Losses are at their respective swing low's.
I hope everyone is familiar with the rules by now. If you're new to this thread/system, please read the PDF manual on the first post, and don't hesistate to ask any questions if you're still not sure.Ignored
DislikedAs with all other systems, i'd assume fundamentals or sudden news events or news or announcements can go against this strategy right? Or since we're trading based on dailys, it would warn us before it goes bonkers?

DislikedAsh I don't see a new signal at all for EURJPY. I am using FXDD. Could you explain why you were looking at this one?Ignored
