green line is where I am at ... we'll see.

well, how many pairs do you trade? I think I'd need to know. If you trade 10 - 15 pairs, everything is fine with that number of trades If you trade only one or two pairs, I think you're entering and exiting way too often ...

You long on EU rite? I think it's in correction and perhaps green line exit is only use when it is trending, perhaps you could plays safe in correction phase cause you might end up in losses. Just MHO :-)

Yeap, I already started my real account again. I lacked the emotional factor when trading the demo account.

About your chart, what software do you use since your alligator does not have the extended line to the future. I'm trading 30mins charts on EU currently, I short from last nite and already closed this morning (my time LOL) and I short again this evening.

yes I know there is no future offset. I trade with CMC Marktes. But it works pretty good like this too ...

how successful are you on such a small timeframe? I had to take much more losses than winners when doing it (I traded Indixes though).. for it's a trentfollowing system, intraday might be too choppy?!

btw .. I'd be cautious with that short on the 30 minutes you want to open. there's a good divergence on price/indicator... momentum doesn't precede lower prices anymore.
I dunno if it has a high significance on a small time frame like that .. but you know ...

It really depends, sometimes I get whipsaw a lot. The thing about small timeframe, I cant hold my position that long. I used larger timeframe for my reference.

Can you use any other software? cause the future offset really helpful :-)

yeap, i know. i'm thinking about to close my position right now. there is wiseman 1 on 1hour chart. but, in 4h chart, it just break the fractal and alligator is still wide open..confusion happen haha

I have been trading the spot Forex almost exclusively since I discovered it in 2004; but prior to that, I traded the futures markets. I was introduced to the Profitunity methodology and strategies in late 1998 or early 1999 as I recall. As a futures trader, I used only EOD data and traded off daily charts; and I traded the Profitunity way pretty much as it was spelled out in Bill Williams' second book, New Trading Dimensions. The only time I use its "pile it on" approach in my Forex trading is when I have been lucky enough to catch a new daily chart trend that reversed after getting hit by the "5 magic bullets" that ended the previous trend. I am mostly an intraday trader now, but there still is a lot of Profitunity in how I now trade. Yes, Profitunity has been very good to me. I personally think that to use all of its entry signals and exit strategies, one needs to be trading it in the daily time frame.

I understand you do not ONLY use Profitunity in your intraday trading?! However, do you still use its indicators for intraday trades?! Does the methology then end up being some sort of a scalping system?!

Looks to me like we're in a current wave C correction at that. I agree with Arcus: keep your stops pretty tight.

Here is something that may interest some of you re the 1st and 2nd Wise Men that were introduced in Trading Chaos, 2nd Edition. They may be more useful as filters than entry signals. One of my trading strategies for the M5 time frame is to nest a buy order above the VFH when the AO bar is green, and to nest a sell order below the VFL when the AO bar is red... whether or not the AO bar is positive or negative. Could more pips be captured if I required any entry signals generated by the 1st or 2nd Wise Men to have been hit before nesting a 3rd Wise Man order? In other words, would a signal failure by the 1st or 2nd Wise Men keep me out of more loss or low profit trades? I started looking at this because I am reluctant to enter a trade on the wrong side of the Alligator... most of us old-time Profitunity disciples likely are having trouble with that!

I'm not sure if I fully understand. What do you mean by VFH and VFL? I'm not familiar with those... perhaps that will clear it up.

Awfulllyyyyy quiet in here! Anyone have any open trades or potential chaos setups or anything they're looking at? I mostly just trade the euro on the daily chart... should be at the beginning of a 5th wave according to the AO/Alligator.

Also, if anyone cares... I'm going to be attending the advanced tutorial October 20th and 21st down in San Diego, California. I'm looking forward to meeting Bill and Justine and seeing what they have to offer in the course!

So anyway... surely someone must have some trades going on! Share them with us and let's start some kind of discussion!

I am still here and watching daily. I have a trade on the EU daily that I got in on the 7th from the up fractal. Still in the positive. I did not add on with the 3 green AO bars. There is another fractal that formed on the 13th but I have not placed a add on trade there yet. I was watching and thinking that we may have broke into wave 5 as well. The last 2 days resistance has held above the 1.5800. No looking to see if it will beat the 1.6 area again. If so, I will be looking for a BDB and maybe some divergence to end wave 5 and bring it back down again.

Thoughts?

I have other random trades throughout with using only fractals as entries on other pairs.

Hi Rcwso!

You're pretty much in the same situation I am in. Have that daily fractal from the 7th. Are you seeing the fractal from the 13th on the 4hr chart?

I just reformatted my computer, I need to install photoshop or something again so I can get some charts up here!

nice to see some posts here again =)

I am in the same trade as you guys, but I entered on the fractal formed on June 9th, triggered on July 2nd. I got a worse trade location than you did and had to sit and wait for the price to come up again. But everything is fine now .. especially today
I also have 2 other trades going on; on the Eurostoxx and Mdax, but I am trading mini-contracts on those ...

So one question .. How come you guys went in on the Fractal of the 7th of July (which is much lower) than the breaktout fractal that I took? I mean it occured even later, "how did you know it wasn't safe to enter where I did?"

Oh and I didn't know it was a wave 5 ... thanks for that info
