the day has come to an end. it didn't close below the trendline or daily gann hilo, instead we have an h4 candle about to close above the supporting trendline (h4 chart) and above h4 gann. this is a bullish sign.
where are we going from here? most probably we will see the usual drop during asia (somewhere between 210.50 and 211, probably 210.70 area), and then i expect another test of the last highs. i am thinking about upper 212 (212.90 area, more specifically).
this scenario will get invalidated by an hourly close below 210.30, which would turn the bias bearish again.

This is what i see.On 15M-daily time frame gann hi lo indicator is below price anf if 4hr and daily bar close above this indicator then..up.

On the other hand 4hr 50 sma and 1hr 100 sma are arround 212.05. i have some pivot line on 211.90.And the price is at the moment below all of this.So this could hold as resistance and that gann hi lo can flip again as it did today on all time frames.

I am waiting to see action in this 211.90-212.35 area and to see what will gann hi lo will do on 4hr and daily close.I am puting some alerts and off to bad.See you guys tomorrow.

P.S 15 min gann just flips.Let us see what will 30M do

My Alpari DJI chart agrees with Peaches chart. Your DJI Weekly chart may be missing a couple of bars. Where are your bars for the weeks of 12/16 and 12/23?? Even so, that doesn't fully explain the difference in TL slope. There would appear to be differences in the low prices as well. See mine marked on the chart.

I marked the Alpari prices in Cyan. The cyan trendline (TL) uses these prices.

I checked online charts from Yahoo and Wall St Journal (WSJ) which give identical answers, and their lows for both dates are a bit lower which alters the TL slope (See the red TL, which was tested but has not broke yet).

I checked charts from CNBC and their prices are marked with yellow texts. A CNBC TL would be just slightly below but virtually the same as the cyan TL so I didn't draw it.

I can't tell you which prices are the "official" DJI prices. Does anyone know for sure?

By my Alpari cyan TL, the DJI has broken below and may be heading for a retest. The Yahoo=WSJ red TL has held, thus far, suggesting bullish PA.

It just goes to show that if one is going to draw exact TL's, one better be sure of the datafeed. Since my Alpari charts are "free", I have no right to complain. But does anyone know of a better free or low-cost chart feed, MT4 or otherwise?

sorry for the late reply. i was a way from the computer.

i do prefer longs on all yen crosses. but i don't really pay attention to that particular pair. i do see a rejected lower TL on the dailies and a couple tweezer bottoms on 4h with bullish engulfing. i think it's heading to 81.01 as a first target (first TL to the upside).

yesterday and the days before candle are a pattern of trendchange to bullish,
but ranging has to come to an end for some pairs, so i tighten my SL
and bet on a break out for gbp/usd, eur/usd and usd/chf. lets see. at least nobody is expecting this.

I also use alpari demo for charting. Oanda for trading.

I have no clue about the difference.

Once a daily (it might be today) candle closes below gann hilo, say bye bye to longs.
