other members here on ff that know more than I have told me that they finds the qualifiers unreliable and i have to say they are difficult for me as well.... but the concepts are worth studying nonetheless.... like a down close coming before the run up on a trendline break to the upside and vice versa for a short break..... interesting study in price action.... but confusing there are other threads where others have continue to explore demarks work... just search for tredlines or demark and what have u.....

i find demarks targets expremely optimistic many times..... just my 2 cents


i like to use higher timeframes and take less trades for best results.... for example for a short...a break of td level 3 pivot point (or higher) i use level 6 usually) tl on 4 hour with a close below the HORIZONTAL low support as well usually works well.... this is explained somewhere in the mouteki thread

here is 4 hour chart from gj recently with a simple s/r indicator (barry support and resistance (do a search u will find a few versions if u like)

and trendlines drawn manually without a demark indicator

KISS

each support rendline break offered many pips for the taking.....

Easier to reply here. See my attached chart for Cable during the timeframe in question. As you can see the 2nd sell setup was 0.62 the size of the previous one. The box is plotted down from the highest high of the 9 bars or any bar thereafter until and including the "price flip" bar.

what i don't understand is that there is trillions of indicators for Metatrader but for Demark there is only 3 or 4.

Does anyone have correct TD indicators.
This indicators I have show bad counting ....

Hi,
Im trying to create a profitable system. I have been practising with Demark trendline indicator. I would like to ask someone who is familier with the indicator the following:
1) Is the indicator the same as using fractals to draw trendlines?
2) Also, when i put the indicator on a chart and draw trendlines on it manually, then when i change the time frame my manual trendlines disappear. Why is that please? how do i rectify this problem?

but it´s working pretty good.

I use the red and green line as support/resistance or as targets.
A break of this lines i use for fibo-expansion for new targets.

I only trade the daily.

try the indicator i posted before, i haven´t this problem you described.

if i draw trendline mannually, they stay.

Tom DeMark indicators aren't a system per se. They are intended to be on a discretionery basis.

But TD REI (oscillator type) is a good one to use with TD Sequential or you can try a standard OS like Stoch / RSI / etc.

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here. I've used the DeMark Seq. before, although never for FX... Tried to follow the conversation through the thread here... The information has been very informative, I'm just wondering, I use MT4, does anyone have a tried and tested working downloadable DM Sequential Indicator for MT4?

ok i have been using TD Sequential for MT4 for a few months already,
and it has been very profitable trades mostly.(80% if not better).
My TD Sequential is an improved version over AHA Sequential 0.5 (this one
needs to be manual refreshed at times..but its free you can get from this
thread earlier post).

ok, TD Sequential counting depends on the Closing price of each timeframe.(works on all timeframe,although the original concepts start with daily timeframe)So this is the cause for different result readings at different MT4 brokers. You also need to understand the rules of TD Sequential for better
trading judgement.

Its been good indicator. You can try the AHA Sequential free version, its
best free version so far.
