Question on order execution with MBTrading

MBT's quotes are from several banks. Sometimes, the quote of one of the banks may not be updated fast enough, and the quote appears as best bid or ask. If a market order is put at such a time, will the order be filled with a valid quote immediately (not the outdated quote of that bank), or will the order be held until that bank updates its quote? This is tricky, but I really want to know. Please advise if you know.

That is certainly a good question. I cannot provide you with an answer but I believe the best people to help you would Mbtrading themselve as it is really technical to know if it could be executed with the quote even thought the quote was not showing. I was thinking of using Mbtrading but unfortunately for people living in Canada it is not possible unless you live in Ontario. If you get an answer in regard to this question I would really appreciate if you could post it on the forum.

You will get be slipped very badly!

Even under normal market conditions I was slipped very often.

Did you get slippage right away, or your order was suspended for a little while?

The orders were fillled very fast (under 1 sec) but slipped.

I rarely got the price that i clicked in the FX Board order mask.

Thats one of the reasons why i'm now with Hotspot: the price i'm clicking here is filled with no slippage.

never enter with a market order in an ECN brokertry stop limit combination orders,otherwise you lose big time

Hotspot offers a very good automatic Slippage-Protection for market orders.

Here you can set max. slippage to 1pip at:

"Submit at the best price shown with maximum slippage"

MBT offers no equal option and you have to set Limit-prices manual every time.
That takes time and is especially for scalpers a big disadvantage.

You can do the exact same thing in EFX remote trader. Altho, it appears that development of this platform is on hold, they promised alot of features like API and server-based scripting support for the beginning of the year, since then nothing much has happened.
