Aight, Lilmoe, Arezab, I think I've got the logic all figured out now and backtested with Vhandstrader.

The indicator I created below will alert you when price closes over or under a moving average. You have the option to specify the type and period of the moving average, simple, exponential etc.

Also, I've added optional email alerting and , my favourite, the ability to change the sound. That way you can have a specific sound for the crossing's. I have a nifty car alarm sound, but I'm having problems uploading, however you can download free ".wav" sound files at the link below http://amazingsounds.iespana.es/asehg.htm

Remember to put sound files directly into the sound directory under your metatrader program directory.

It's good to know how the program works as well. This indicator will give a sound alert/pop-up/email alert when price CLOSES (not just pierces) over or under a moving average.

The indicator also places arrows on your chart when this event happens, HOWEVER, the logic of the program is that the arrows will only be placed where the subsequent candlestick makes a higher high/close or lower "low/close" , as the case may be, then the preceding candlestick.

Bottom Line: You will always get a sound/message/email alert at the candlestick that closes under/over the moving average, but you will not always get identifying arrows , for the reasons explained above.

So if you are looking back on your charts and saying, hey, price closed below the MA, where's the arrow, you will notice that the next candlestick did not make a lower low as explained above.

Oh, one more thing, because this alert only activates at a close over/under the MA, you would not get an alert in potential tradeable situations identified by the blue circle. That would require actual chart observtion.

I think there is an error in the coding of this indicator. I use SMA 100 for trading. I put your indicator on my H1 chart and I only edited MA value to 100 but as you can see in my chart, there are some false signals. Price hasn't crossed 100 SMA yet but the indicator places blue and red arrows there.

Is it really a problem in coding or I'm mistaken ? I don't know ... I just wanted to show this ...

i'm getting a long euro signal. euro gapped above a TL (blue) it was fighting to breach last friday but failed. i thought it might do that and it did, now the TL is working as support. i'll give it 30 more mins to confirm. but i'ma bit hesitant to go long just now.

I had predicted these bulls back at the 199.00 mark and plenty can attest to that. Even though 217 is the target, correction is in order and this move is exhausted. DO me a favor and check up on your history, look back on your 4hr charts and look for our current consolidation pattern and tell me of those outcomes?... This is just one simple way to look at it.

Trust me, i do not half ass my analysis or "predictions" as you so put it. I am a swing/position trader, so i do not sit on this forum/or my computer all day wondering what the next move is gonna be, I already know from a lengthier perspective. Plenty of factors go into my trades . I was just sharing what i believed was going to happen to our beloved g/j pair. If you want I will go into deeper analysis a little later tonight when i have time. As I said, there is a whole lot more that goes into my trading decisions,some things you probably wouldn't even understand.

p.s. i do have real sell orders in place, but the sell order you were referring to is on a demo acct for my group. I will be back a lil later
